  1. IMP and GPASUYF should have gone on the Twisted Logic Tour or the Viva la Vida Tour. I'm not sure why they're still there. As for Lost, that should have gone on the VLV Tour. I wouldn't mind if they ended up coming back in a couple of tours time, it's just that they could play better songs right now.
  2. In My Place God Put a Smile Upon Your Face Lost! I wouldn't call any of these songs indispensable or vital to a Coldplay live set. I actually have no idea why they've survived, especially in the case of In My Place and God Put a Smile Upon Your Face. They have many more interesting songs that they could replace them with.
  3. I've never even heard that one! I want Square One to come back too though. It'd be a cool song to open an encore with.
  4. Three songs that have yet to be played on this tour that have been played in previous tours. Go. A Rush of Blood to the Head Cemeteries of London Spies
  5. Paradise was a BIG hit worldwide. It hit 15 on the Billboard 100, which is a big deal for a rock band, let alone a UK rock band. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradise_(Coldplay_song)#Charts_and_certifications It's hit number one in a number of countries. I'd say it's up there with Viva la Vida as Coldplay's biggest hit.
  6. It sounds too polished, too clean, like it's had all life and energy drained out of it. The vocals have that flat, distant sound to it which is a major problem for me but the music itself has lifeless production. It's my problem with most of the album.
  7. I loved Major Minus when I heard that live too, but again it disappointed with the studio version (which we heard months before MX came out anyway)
  8. MX was probably 2011's biggest disappointment for me. I had hope after enjoying (yes, ENJOYING) Every Teardrop and loving Paradise. Then I loved what I heard of Hurts Like Heaven and Charlie Brown live. Then the album came out and as soon as I heard the studio version of HLH I was like 'Well...' MX just sounds over-produced, to the point where it comes across as overly superficial and lifeless. I also consider it a bit of a mess. Like it doesn't really have any continuity between songs. It just sounds like random songs thrown together, like a compilation or something.
  9. It switched to ITV4 suddenly, ITV1's broadcast just cut off at 10pm I think. Anyway, I watched it all on TV and loved it. Really wanna see them live. Giving the Hyde Park CD another listen. Huge fan of live albums, this being one of my favourite of the last few years.
  10. A Rush of Blood to the Head sounds like it would be a good theme park ride. Just on name alone it sounds like it would be mental.
  11. Damon sounded pissed
  12. I meant we're gonna order them in the next week or so, when I saw Muse at Wembley the tickets got to me less than two weeks prior to the show but when I saw Muse at Sheffield they got to me for about August and the gig was in a November. So I'm not sure when tickets would arrive.
  13. Thanks! I went on Viagogo. The plan is the five of us are gonna get our tickets in the next week or so, can't wait! :D
  14. Ah, sorry. I can be easy to take things the wrong way when I'm aggravated (which I am atm but it's nothing to do with this thread, more personal stuff) so I'm sorry about my last comment. I read into it wrongly.
  15. I'm hopeful for 2014 for the third album tbh, I don't think it'll be another five year wait. Also I definitely want to hear him do some guest spots on the next Kanye West album again. I'd buy an album if they both did a collaborative one. It always works so well whenever he makes an appearance on Kanye's stuff.
  16. Last I heard it was an open thread. Don't be a dick. If you don't want anyone coming into this then take it to personal messages.
  17. It doesn't matter whether you doubt it or whether it'll even happen, it's still what I want to happen
  18. I never knew there was a video for Laika! One of my favourites from Arcade Fire! :D
  19. Please :elf:
  20. Radiohead - Just Coldplay - The Scientist Gotye - Somebody That I Used to Know Animal Collective - My Girls Metallica - One Daft Punk - Around the World Weezer - Buddy Holly Nirvana - In Bloom Green Day - When I Come Around
  21. Well. Maybe I misunderstood you. It seemed to me like you were saying a lot of electronic musicians sounded like Daft Punk and Justice. And that a lot of electronic musicians aren't very good on the whole. Unless you meant that there are a lot of acts similar to DP and Justice and the ones who are similar aren't very good generally. Then I can kinda agree. Maybe I did misunderstand.
  22. I'm currently doing this on a Muse site and taking part in one on a U2 site too. Basically it'd work like this: Round 1 - Stage 1 would be made up of Don't Panic, Politik, Square One, Life in Technicolour, Life in Technicolour II and Mylo Xyloto/Hurts Like Heaven. Everyone votes for two songs and the two highest voted songs will carry over into Round 2. Round 1 - Stage 2 would be made up of track two from each album and EP and so on, you get the picture. So. Would anyone be interested in taking part?
