  1. Oh god, no. I forgot one of the cardinal sins of this thread. I put Coldplay into a genre. Sorry, but if it frustrates you that coldplay use too much acoustic guitar, I don't think you'll be happy when they inevitably use it again in LP6. Because this instrument is basically essential in the bulk of any band's music. Sheesh! Why don't they try to stray away from drums and bass too cuz that's also in all of their songs. Oh-- and singing too. Take away the singing. GOOD GRIEF.
  2. Fight! Fight! Fight!
  3. Erm, pretty sure an acoustic guitar is kind of part of any soft rock band. Its not like they're losing creativity points by using acoustic guitar, good grief.
  4. ^ love NMFWTTG
  5. Fight! Fight! Fight!
  6. Damn lotta Mumford & Sons hate.
  7. I thought the screen visuals were awesome. :/ But I do agree on your earlier part about orchestras. I love the idea of trying to make a movie score from a stylistic stand point, because it would make an album more cohesive musically. One of the main problems with MX imo is that the album as a whole is not cohesive (thematically it is cohesive obviously, but not musically). It just felt like it jumped from here to there to there... it was messy. I mean, ETIAW to Major Minus to UFO to PoC? It doesn't flow at all. Hopefully, LP6 will flow as well as VLVODAAHF did.
  8. Mumford & Sons are great but their first two albums sound the same. And some people talk about how Coldplay's music sounds the same! psssh! NO. Seriously though. M&S... all their music sound the same. They're still good though, and a collab with Coldplay would be great imo.
  9. Win Butler from Arcade Fire or Mumford from Mumford & Sons. They could go into a folk-tale style of song with either of these two. Imagine Win, Will, and Chris all singing in harmony with a couple of acoustic guitars and a piano. Really stripped back. That would make my life complete!
  10. ^
  11. Coldplay's next album will be kinda Viva la Vida ish with like an MX thing but in a AROBTTH kind of way.
  12. ^ Sadly, I have to second this. Just make music that makes me happy, Coldplay.
  13. Imagine Will with super long hair, head banging...
  14. Screamo Chris Martin lol
  15. M83 released a double album.
  16. I don't think a double album fits the way they approach album making in general.
  17. Share yours if you want. I love the radio tower/ antenna. :)
  18. I would. Lost! is an amazing song that has lyrics that really speak to me (and not many CP songs do that). I like how the song is a bit low-key, slow and subtle. I love how the organ bleeds through the song and is some what haunting. I love the beat and the guitar solo is just perfect for the song. I'm glad they put Lost! in.
  19. What the hell?
  20. ^Something like The Scientist but just acoustic guitar.
  21. This makes me so happy! Hope its true.
  22. ^ I cant even imagine what that would sound like with a coldplay spin on it.
  23. I want Coldplay to use exotic instruments and stuff. Remember that tour Chris gave of the bakery back during viva on 60 minutes? There was this weird thing Chris played for like 3 seconds. It was cool.
  24. No I really don't think he cares whether or not you approve of his list.
