Not trying to be disrespectful, but this only your interpretation of it. It's clear you've put a lot of thought into it, but still it all comes down to the fact it's just an opinion. I myself can't imagine the band release a song which they know sounds ridiculous. Maybe it's just me, but there's nothing haunting in it. I can't hear it. It's like trying to find haunting elements in a Britney Spears' song. Now, I would really like to be convinced it's actually a deliberate piece of music because I certainly miss something deliberate in the MX era. Otherwise I'll think this post just an attempt to comfort yourself and to excuse another Coldplay's failure. And by the way, it's Moving to Mars.

I'm definitely not what you would call a Radiohead fan, I've listened to their last album and I think only MtM can compete with Lotus Flower, and even then LF wins.

A random thought...if Coldplay fell apart after LP5, I wouldn't care. :blank: And I'm not even a hater.

I hope that all this Coldplay is doing at the moment is just a phase, and nothing more. Like after Parachutes and AROBttH, I hope they'll change after Mylo Xyloto and that it will be a change worth listening to.

The song I like most is MTM. Not just because it resembles Coldplay's previous work, I really think it's a lot better than CB and HLH, which I like too. Oh and UATW for sure. Basically, I like the new direction Coldplay has taken, just w/o Paradise and Every Teardrop. Oh and some of the titles, A Hopeful Transmission and Up in Flames are growing on me. ^THAT!! I love the first 40 seconds and I kind of thought the song will be one of the best off the new era but after Chris started singing...I was appalled. :blank:
