Hi guys, I really want a new poster of Chris for my bedroom. I want to send a big picture to the 'copyshop' in my village, where they can print in on canvas. But I can't find a big, high resolution picture of Chris playing guitar or piano. I want a picture of Chris playing guitar or piano, preferably during the AROBTTH or X&Y era. So I want to ask you guys for big, high resolution pictures for my poster. I think that many of you have great pictures on your computers. I've searched through the 'Post pictures of gorgeous Chris' thread, but it's impossible to do that there haha! So please, post your pictures of Chris playing an instrument here, I will very much appreciate that! Thanks!

I really like how the VIVA songs become 'old' now haha, it's so nice to hear LiJ back. It feels like a classic now, that's great.

I know I can't do anything here, or anywhere. But its just my opinion. I won't be disappointed after any Coldplay show, I'm always enjoying it! I have a clear picture of the shows, but we can expect that there will be a very different setlist after a festival tour and a little world tour at the end of 2011? And yes, I am the one who chooses to pay haha!

I know what you mean, I can understand. But I've paid for three concerts in the last 1,5 years. Pinkpop was a good show, it was new. When I saw them in Rotterdam in December, they had only changed a few songs. It was a brilliant show because of the energy and all the things that just happened. I'm just scared that they'll play almost the same songs again this year in Holland. It's just a thing I don't understand. Don't get me wrong, I'm obsessed with this band. But I would like to be surprised. You almost know the whole setlist of the show you're going to three weeks before you go there.

Oh come on. The setlist is almost the same as it was last year. They've only changed some songs, but it feels like the same show. The differences are PoC, DLIBYH and Warning Sign. I am very disappointed. They have to make the setlist much longer, play more than 25 songs. I'm a bit angry now, so they better make a longer and different setlist when they come to The Hague this year!

Clocks

There will be a big stage, a big MX kind of thing. I hope they will get the two walk routes through te public, like in the Viva tour, back, that was really great. And yes, I hope they'll play more older songs. Not the big hits, but songs like Amsterdam, We Never Change. Bigger Stronger would be awesome.

Thanks for talking about this. For me, Politik is the best song that's ever been written. It's so pure, it is so magical. I almost can't describe how great it is. They were becoming big after Parachutes, and were working on AROBTTH. Chris can't read music, that makes it more special to me. Politik is something from heaven. After Parachutes, they got into a studio in Liverpool where they were writing songs all day, something magical happened there. Parachutes was a brilliant debut album, and to follow it up with a better album, is really breathtaking for me. That though gives me just a great feeling while listening to these songs. And then Politik, the strong intro. Brilliant, only two chords the first two minutes of the song. After the second chorus/verse, the most magical part of a song ever begins. The melancholy is so so pure, it is like I want to sit down on my knees. And then the outbreak. Jonnys riff, only three notes, but it is so perfect. Politik is so emotional. The thing that annoys me is that most people don't know the song. If you say Coldplay, people only know Clocks, Viva and Paradise. It is a shame. I'm not proud of the last two songs. I want people so badly to listen to the old stuff, what Coldplay really is. Even newspapers were talking about "Politics" after the Pinkpop gig. But that's the way it is. I can talk for hours about this song, I'll stop now haha. The best version for me is the Glasto 2002 performance. At that time, people didn't know the songs yet, and Chris' high "oeehh" part at the end is perfect. Thanks guys. On a saturday evening I was in a nightclub, they were playing house music and things like that, when suddenly, they started playing The Scientist. That was cool. Not the horrible remix, but the original.

Does anyone know which pickups Chris is using in his current acoustic Martin? It sounds so great, so I really want to know what it is. I think it's something like a Martin Natural Pickup system. I haven't seen the perfect pickup (in my opinion) for an acoustic guitar yet, but the sound that comes out of Chris' Martin is the sound I look for.

I was ten years old at the time Clocks came out, my fourteen year old brother had some songs on the computer including Clocks and Trouble. Those were the first Coldplay songs I heard, immediately fallen in love.

Politik This is my number one, that may sound strange. Jonny's riff at the end of the song has only three different notes, but the feeling it gives me is so fantastic. Everything fits together in that song.
