  1. Love both, but Paradise is ahead.

Sure, why not, what's wrong? :P

No to that. Accept other people's opinion. It's not for no reason that he wrote "imo".
  4. Hey people, I think this thread is necessary after all the controversies, that Paradise started. I've not been a member here for long, though I've been in love with Coldplay for quite a while now, but since over the last 3 years there was not a lot coming from them, it was only this June that I decided to create an account here. So much for my person. I think it's sad, that people are starting threads about how bad the song is. Is this a Coldplay fan page or what? It's okay not to like a song, but it's not okay to write stupid comments on it and try to piss off others. Why can't people who dislike the song leave people who like the song their own opinions? And vice versa, too. Nobody needs to be convinced because every single one here's got their own opinion, which is not worth less and not worth more than that of others. How about we respect each other's opinion? It would be sad, if this one single song would lead to more controversies than it has already. I for my part love it, but I wrote that in other songs, so let's not talk about loving or hating here. All I wanna say is - opinions are opinions and therefor need to be respected.

Yes, in case you haven't figured out, it's a quotation :) From this one brillant song, Coldplay just released today. It's called Paradise and in it Chris is singing "Para-para-paradise" which I find very catchy and many millions more will, too!

I'm sure what you want to say is that it's less useful than http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=88301 this thread? :D Watch out for the joke.
  7. I agree on that. But hey, in my opinion any song that goes off the setlist is a sad thing - but some will have to. Unfortunately. They're just making too good music :(
  8. Are you serious? I mean, it's the second single of their new album. There's just no way to not put it on the setlist. And believe, people who were no big Coldplay fans so far will be. And most old fans like it, too. I'm superexcited for the first live performance ;) Maybe wait for it before judging?
  9. Sure it will, and that's great, because people will love the song and imagine the crowd screaming para-para-paradise. Perfect concert song!
  10. But that's exactly what differs you from others here - you say it's your opinion, you don't tell us that our opinion is wrong, which is perfectly fine and acceptable!
  11. I don't get all the "hatred" (maybe that's a bit too harsh). What's wrong about the sound? That it fits perfectly into today's world? That more people than before will like Coldplay? Sorry people, saying that giving 10/10 makes us "12 year olds" is such an easy thing to say...I'm sure Coldplay will have great success with that song, and if you do not like it, bah - are they gonna care? Looking at the votes for the poll, almost half of us are 12 year olds, I'm pretty sure that I don't care about it - I still love the song! :)
  12. Sorry, but in my opinion that's just such a close-minded view. I am 20 years old and I like OneRepublic a lot, been to two of their concerts. They just make good music. And if you don't like Paradise, I just don't get why you consider yourself a fan :P I love the song and think it sounds very different from OneRepublic or Timberlake. It's just a bit more modern sounding; and yet so great. (I also love ETIAW, btw...it's too bad, I'm a bad critics, because they can do whatever they want, I love it... :D)
  13. So true! It took me about 2 minutes into the song when I was able to sing along! I love it waaaay too much and I think that most people will at least like it! :)
  14. I can't get why people don't like them sounding similar to OneRepublic (which I don't even think, but I love both Coldplay and OneRepublic). It's a fantastic new sound and if you really like the band, why not try liking their new stuff? Maybe it's fortunate, but I love every single one of their songs, no matter what they do, they won't loose me quite yet. Also Paradise I love already.
  15. At the end of the song I was singing along. It's grown on me quite fast, I guess :P
  16. It's fantastic. I love it. And I was right thinking Chris would sing para-para-paradise more than once :D
  17. The chatroom on page 1 isn't working though, is it?

  19. Boring :( I was so pumped, just got up and now it's leaked...but I won't listen to it on Youtube now (where it's already been uploaded), but I'll just listen to BBC1 anyways :) That's just so much better :)
  20. Very good news. It will be fantastic, to hear this performance at the end of October - even though by then they will have played the song a couple of times at other occasions. But still, it's the very first live performance, so it's a special one! People will love it!
  21. Also, what about the way to write Myl Oxyl Oto. Oxyl...exile?? Edit: Oxyl, according to Wiktionary, can mean "A compound or radical bound to an oxygen by a single bond". That would be a metaphor for humans. We need oxygen to live.
