No idea where all this negativity/rumours about them splitting up and disagreeing on the music is coming from. - Phil and Mat already said that the band are already planning their next moves. - the movie cleary showed that no songs are seeing the light of day where not every band member is happy with it - the band is currently on a break/vacation, so it‘s not a big surprise to me, that only chris is active at the moment - chris is already living in the US for some years now (i think since GS), so that‘s not really new for the boys I would also love to get another album like AROBTTH or Parachutes but i also think that this is never gonna happen. They were young then and the albums and their moods were about insecurities and stuff like that. Since they have grown up and overcome those issues, i highly doubt them doing something similar. I could imagine them doing an acoustic album but then again only with a very different mood compared to those older albums

So now one day later, having heard the song a few times and setting aside all the hype from yesterday and the wrong expectations, I really like the song! It‘s catchy, groovy, has a positive vibe, great message, is easy to sing along and thus perfect for gathering money and attention for a good cause (and thus also a good song for the associated festival). So i‘m really looking forward to hearing the remaining songs from that ep tomorrow! And btw that „unsold ideas“ thing could still be true. Maybe they really will use this new band to dig out and rework old song ideas or maybe just use it as a playground to explore and share different songs/styles/genres that just don‘t fit to the name of Coldplay. But i really hope, that there‘ll be some explanation soon about what this band is all about :D

That‘s why i meant „new signing“ in terms of they signed a new contract. With „car kids“ popping up and the reuse of a ghost stories promo picture, maybe the album will be about recycling unfinished stuff from previous eras Really hoping it‘s not a new band name [emoji28]

Couldn‘t it be that „los unidades“ with that awesome logo is just the title of LP8? If i remember correctly, their contract with parlophone was running out after AHFOD. Now they announced a new contract with parlophone and „los unidades“ is the new album? I mean the logo is also quite awesome and could be for an album, right? [emoji848]

Coldplay is currently joining me on my holidays in Bali [emoji1] First i heard the scientist on the radio, then in the evening a live band played the scientist in a restaurant. Tonight a liveband in a restaurant played the scientist and asfos and as i just turned on the tv in the hotel the music videos for asfos and aoal came on [emoji4][emoji4] EDIT: and now clocks and fix you[emoji1] Must be some coldplay-special [emoji4] EDIT2: joined by imp, paradise, the scientist and yellow [emoji1]

I asked myself the same question^^ Already did! Haha [emoji23] I really wonder how coldplay doesn't realise/care that their merchandise is shitty EDIT: i know it's just stickers but it really is a good example of livenations quality/professionalism. Plus getting the ep one week after the release and everyone else^^

Soo here's my little review: AICTAIY: really awesome song (love those "progressive" songs) M(SS): very funky and uplifting. Even the rap-part kind of fits smoothly ALIENS: just perfect! very space-y, experimental, always in movement, great message. Definitely in my personal Top5 songs! SJLT: nice to have a little flashback to recent live shows you've been to and full of energy H (KEP mix): a bit dissapointing that the extra 30s are only some "random" melodies from the app. Flaws: i would have hoped for a special outro or some hidden track Overall: so positive and uplifting, i love it!!
