2012 Songs Worth Listening To
It sounds like a 90s pop song to me, a lot like some of the backstreet boys' stuff.

2012 Songs Worth Listening To
Why do you guys both enjoy Climax so much? I certainly can notice the tight production it has and it's well crafted. But it sounds so generic to me. EDUCATE ME

2012 Songs Worth Listening To
Even I don't know anymore :hangover: But serious time, I am actually curious as to your opinion with "pop" songs ("pop" meaning RnB and the general type of music that is popular with the majority of mainstream media today). I notice you do actually acknowledge and enjoy some of it. So my question is: What is the difference between a bad pop song and a good one. Could you give one example of a very popular pop song that you thing is horrible, and one that you think is good - and tell me why? Thanks!

Sigur Rós
Straight off the bat, Valtari blew the previous album away. I was really worried about this one, because I thought their last effort was pretty bad. The music was fine, and a few songs on it were great - but it felt rehashed and repetitive. They didn't seem to have much of a spark and it felt like they were a bit too comfortable with a certain formula. I've only given Valtari one listen in entirety, but I really love it.

Crests of Daylight/Glacial Fox/Crests, Foaming at the Mouth
I don't think Dee's thread has much to do with the forum being quiet. Stuff goes in peaks and troughs, even before that thread the forum had been incredibly quiet aside from a handful of people who were posting often.

recklessness is the golden age of wisdom
Fun fact: Hoppipolla means jumping in puddles. Is that what you wish to talk about Lory?

this is so wrong
I don't think it's a "sneaky" act where the company has deliberately done this to try and get rid of their old unused stock. I think that hypothesis is incredibly unlikely - especially from a (presumably?) well known and large distributor. Creating a policy that does that would be an instant death to business. I'd wager on it being a mistake, one of those one in a thousand things. By all means call them up and complain - you have the right to and you'll probably get free easter eggs.

Why Rihanna is jealous of Gwyneth Paltrow
Sometimes I feel left out with all the Gwyneth buzz. I think she is one of the best actresses in the world and she's certainly beautiful, but people treat her like the best thing since sliced bread. She's clearly not. Spreadable butter is.

Discuss: Charlie Brown single
Clocks was unbelievably popular, wasn't it? It got a grammy for best song and was on the radio all the time.

What have you learned today?
It's like, have eight chocolates and it's rubbish. Have one and it's brilliant. Have two and it's even better but by the third it gets worse every time. Enjoyment factor and self image decrease slowly with each one. When you hit six, there is no going back and seven is a guarantee from there.

hey who else hates zooey deschanel other than dee, emily and me?
No, more pointless. When someone like Roger Ebert or whoever the TV equivalent is makes a list - he is writing to a huge audience and has the ability to influence the medium in fairly large ways. I still think the interest behind what "critics" think is totally meaningless and the people who care are strange to me - but there actually is a point when professional "critics" working for a newspaper or a magazine write their lists because they have been acknowledged as an influence in the medium. More power to you then. You've pretty much negated everything I said because the fact is you enjoy doing it and you aren't harming anyone by doing so. So yeah, carry on.

Parrotdies, you're way too obsessed with critiquing things with way too much finality. I don't think you realise how pointless it is. You may as well just write any random TV shows and place them in any random "tier" and it would mean the same thing.

It's clearly not. No. :smug:

The cancer that is killing The Lounge
 She was very vehement and slightly defensive in tone too. This emotional response would not occur if there truly was a sense of apathy about the topic. I think someone hit a nerve.

STOP DONKEY CRUNCHING
This is clearly a joke, right? edit: Just researched some more. Clearly a joke. The only source for this I have found is a stupid facebook link that is filled with nonsense. If this was real, there would be sources from both the police, emergency crews and news websites. There would also be more than thirty likes on facebook. I suggest that TwistedPolitik either is involved in the joke and the creation of the facebook page, or is friends with those who are.

Prospective employers want facebook passwords
The sad thing is a lot of these people would have been so desperate for work due to the awful employment rates in some parts of the US they would have just caved in and given their passwords out. So these employers were manipulating the situation to get unreasonable amounts of information from them.

Coldplay lost in fame
I remember reading somewhere that he had something done to his vocal chords. I believe it because there is no other explanation how his voiced changed so much between AROBTTH and X&Y

Prospective employers want facebook passwords
I had no idea that this happened. I understand the need to be sure that your new employee is reliable and is who they say there are, but this completely crosses the line. Facebook (for many people) contains incredibly private conversations and interactions with people they trust. Demanding to have access to this is ridiculous. And I absolutely think there should be ramifications for any employers who do this.

Are you excited about The "Princess Of China Music" Video?
We won't see it for months. So no.

Serious Question!
It's not a matter of whether or not you are joking, it's got to do with how you say it. It's not like joking around automatically rids you of accountability. I know you were joking when you called Connor an idiot, but I also think you were mean. If that makes sense .
