1. Just pre-ordered the limited edition CD ??? The shipping costs way more than the item but I'm really looking forward to it!
2. Dear Coldplay, Thank you for Coloratura ?? *Part of the riff reminds me of Moving to Mars
3. Yeah, I heard the leak as well and I think that'll be the 2nd official single from MotS. BTS army will surely support the track. Their fandom is crazy esp. in our country. Just hoping the collab is as good as their previous ones.
4. If the BTS collaboration is indeed true, it could be the 2nd single (and big hit) off the album. I'm not a fan of K-pop in general and couldn't understand the mass hysteria around it. However, the previous collaborations of Coldplay with another artist/s were, for the most part, good at least in my opinion so I'm definitely curious on how this song will turn out.
5. I am smiling throughout the whole song and the overall vibe and the final chorus are just amazing. Can't wait for the rest of the album
6. It's different from the 15 sec clip. Seems like this is the first chorus. And the lyrics from Genius is spot on as well (at least for the part on the clip): "I've got my hands up, shaking just to let you know [Chorus] That you've got a higher power Got me singing every second Dancing every hour..."
7. Just woke up and checked the forum (usual habit although I seldom post nowadays). All these news and speculations just made my day. Higher Power as a title seems political or could be something divine as well. Can't wait for May 7th! Hope we can bring back the energy of the forum like what we had in the MX era. And to all you guys, wherever you are, I hope you're all safe and sound.
8. Okay, so I was able to listen to the album in its entirety for at least 3 times now. And although Iโ€™m not sure yet on where to place it, I must say that itโ€™s definitely a beast of its own. It was both experimental and peculiar at the same time. A cohesive unit that SHOULD be enjoyed as a whole to appreciate it further. Though I admit that I still need to get used to all those โ€œfVck1ngโ€ words everytime I hear it, it feels like this album is very much different from what theyโ€™ve done so far: no โ€œhitโ€ single, a lot of instrumentals, voice memos and excerpts, a wide palette of genres/styles, and its sheer rawness and honesty will really catch you. I agree that this album is not everyoneโ€™s cup of tea but so are the previous albums to a certain degree. It was a brave effort from the band and really didnโ€™t expect something like this will dawn on us after A Head Full of Dreams. I could see why they are proud of this album. Wish Jonny had more exposure on the album though. KEY TRACKS Sunrise: Trouble In Town, Arabesque, Daddy Sunset: Champion of the World, Eko, Everyday Life BEST TRACK: Champion of the World
9. Church's chorus reminds me of U2's Beautiful Day.
10. I've got to say this is one of the strangest release they'd put out. Done with my first listen of the album and I'm quite surprised about it (in a really good way). Will probably share my opinions per track later on. Need to sleep for now because it's already 1am here.
11. There's something in Everyday Life (song) that really caught me. Perhaps its sheer rawness and the emotions/message it conveyed. As for someone who had a rough year, I can tell you the song is a nice pat in the back, a warm hug from friend. Although it's too early to place the new album, I'll probably go with this ranking for now. 1. A Rush of Blood to the Head 2. Viva la Vida or Death and all His Friends 3. Mylo Xyloto 4. X&Y 5. Everyday Life 6. Parachutes 7. Ghost Stories 8. A Head Full of Dreams
12. Manila, Philippines UTC+8
13. Anyone noticed this? (saw the link on discord) View: https://www.amazon.ca/Everyday-Life-Vinyl-Coldplay/dp/B07YTD3CQL/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=coldplay+everyday&qid=1571714713&sr=8-1
14. Love what i heard. Classical
15. Here we go!!! Wow... Can't believe this is finally happening. Just came home from work by the way. Looks like we'll have a great weekend.
16. What a crazy ride this day has been. Can't even focus on my work because I've been busy following the LP8 speculation on discord and our forum. :joy: Having said that, if Kirboh ranked LP8 as easy #2 (#1 being VLVoDaAHF), then this album must be good.
17. Who is the guy beside Jonny?
18. ^ As far as I could remember, the band didn't shoot music videos for LU tracks so it's quite safe to say that this is all Coldplay stuff. Also, They didn't officially tour Ghost Stories. Yeah, maybe they did perform the album on selected countries/venues but it's not really a full-blown tour.
19. "Good things are coming our way" -UWtB
20. Midnight (Instrumental) vs Chinese Sleep Chant
21. Twisted Logic vs Death and All His Friends
22. Hey guys, How are you doing lately? Feels good to be active again in this forum after a long while. As Coldplay is currently taking a much-deserved break, I continued exploring other music as well. I would like to hear your setlists and learn from them. Hereโ€™s mine for today. Hope youโ€™ll give it a go: We are Astronauts - Ether Grizzly Bear โ€“ Two Weeks Atlas Genius โ€“ Trojans Foals - Sunday Tame Impala - Borderline Jon Hopkins โ€“ Emerald Rush Phosphorescent โ€“ Song for Zula Mogwai โ€“ Take Me Somewhere Nice Daughter - Youth The Nationals โ€“ About Today Thom Yorke - Unmade
