Haha. And mysterious as well. I don't know if they intended to put the original Hypnotised in the disc and leave the EP mix as digital exclusive or they just weren't able to check that one. Or maybe the physical versions already existed before they decided to tweak the song. Not sure. And they could ask somebody to at least proof read the credits. Even though it's only a letter, they should consider the fact that it will appear globally (or we're just the bunch of people who'll take time to read it). Paranoid Android, I am.

I'm unaware that there are different versions/mixes of A L I E N S. I tried listening to both digital and cd version and they seemed similar. Could you try to describe the differences so I could assess them again?

CD contains the original version of Hypnotised and not the EP mix we got on the digital version.

After all the hype, anticipation and a number of unexpected delays, here's my rank: 1. ALIENS - Imagine if this track was included in MX... Undeniably, their sessions with Eno was their peak in terms of creativity and I would say it's not hard to hear the difference between this kind of tune from their recent output. 2. All I Can Think About Is You - Somehow I found it hard to identify the 2nd and 3rd respectively because they have their own strengths (and weaknesses) but eventually pick the opener. The rhythm section deserves recognition here, from Guy's full-bodied bass to Will's emphatic blast at end. But the real hero is Jonny. That guitar riff makes me want to jump and punch the air. Indeed, it was a victory for us fans who loved their older material. Oh, I forgot to include that Chris' vocals reminded me of Parachutes era (For You, Sparks) 3. Hypnotised - A calm song that puts me in a peaceful state. I can imagine the crowd waving their hands while the band is playing the chorus part. Could be a bit dragging at times but I love the song. Perfect ender. 4. Miracles (Someone Special) - I like the groove and beat of this track and was really hooked by its melody. But somehow, after the excitement and hype went down, I grew tired of it. 5. Something Just Like This (Tokyo Remix) - could have been better if it's really a remix of the original and not a live take. The crowd overpowered everything.

Miracles (Someone Special) is :heart: No seriously, it's catchy and I really dig the beat and groove. What a weekend :cool:

Official news on July 16: After a series of delayed release, the band finally decided to abandon the EP and make an entire new album. Target release date: Fall 2020

I would say the bass stood out from Ghost Stories up until the present. And I would also like to add that Will has loads of different drum beats as well so I don't mind the use of electronic drums (although the real thing is superior imo). Seems like the rhythm department has been upgraded whatsoever. Yeah, you could definitely identify each of their instruments now in a song.

A Coldplay-Eno reunion would be a great idea although we don't know what the band's plans are at this point. Seems like they will take on a much deserved hiatus after the AHFOD tour. This EP is a solid one. The new songs are all different..with influences from different eras. Bring back Dravs, Eno and Hopkins :viva: :mylo:

Beautiful lyrics: Watching my life on the skyline Crossing your eyes for a lifetime. Song proper: The song is weird in some ways. Maybe because the beat is quite unique compare to other Coldplay songs. More like 15 Step if you ask me. I like the song. Need to listen to it more.

The chorus reminds me of Keane's You Are Young.
