ColdplayFilm - MX Live DVD
So, just came home from watching the film. The film was good. I drove over an hour to get to a cinema showing it - and it is my BIRTHDAY today. Still I am disappointed! Where were the fans please. I was hoping for a bit of concert atmosphere, some singing, some clapping some cheering. NOTHING. I sat in the last row and was singing with some of the songs. For viva I sang louder and then the girl next to me moved away from her seat to a free one - at least she did not complain! I thought ok - they are shy - we are after all in Germany - but maybe they just need somebody to start it - but then she moves away from me. I know what some might say - your singing was awful ... . It wasn't and this is not the point. So please let me have your reviews about audience participation - am I the only one who expected singing or cheering? Thanks Lorie

[9-Sep-2012] Coldplay @ Paralympics Closing Ceremony, London, UK (please post your reviews for Wiki,
Yes, exactly! I thought the same - so much better now! I think this has also to do with the fact that they have done the video together were there are also intimate moments.

[4-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ Emirates Stadium, London, UK
Lost ID I have got my own very personal story to tell from this truly amazing concert (my 4th Coldplay one)! Still during Rita Ora, I noticed that I had lost my ID card - and without it I would not have been able to fly back to Germany on Wednesday. My first try to find it was the toilets - nothing of course. Then I spoke to a very nice stewardess, who took all my details and promised to bring it to my seat if anybody handed it in. When I told her that I might have left it in the cafe outside, she said that I will not be able to leave the stadium and come back in, once the ticket has been swiped. I tried nonetheless, and this is why I am posting this: the security guys were very friendly and immediately said there might be a way round this, once I had explained the story. I was told to leave and once outside speak to a guard they had pointed out, so that he can recognise me and let me back in. Still I was not sure if this would work out so I very excitedly shouted to him "Look me in the eyes, it is me you have to let back in, promise!" He smiled and assured me that everything would be alright. Imagine losing your passport AND missing the Coldplay concert!!! When I reached the cafe, it was already closed!!! So I asked in the shop nearby, if they know the owner to open it back up (I saw my shares really dropping) and then the guy says he IS the owner. And to cut it short, my ID was in the cafe and I was let back in at the gate and caught the last bit of Robyn. So in case, anybody involved reads this: Thank you to the security guys!!:smug: Thank you to the cafe owner!! (Angels Cafe I think it was called, near the stadium) and the cappuccino was very nice too! AND: When you think it is all over - everythings not lost!:nice: Last Thank you to COLDPLAY for an amazing night and to the other fans who made for a fantastic group singing!

Glad to hear to this is better than Madrid German rights prohibited the streaming of yesterdays video - so annoyed - not even the rebroadcast is allowed. So happy that BBC has such a reliable internet radio.

SERIOUS OPINIONS
Unquestionably great pop songs are Beyonce's "Crazy in Love," Rihanna's "Umbrella," Britney Spears' "Toxic," or Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance." Even if you don't normally listen to pop (I certainly don't), you have to concede that these songs are truly great in their genre. I never understood what people find in umbrella by Rihanna - sorry. Prefer Paradise in this context.

It sounds like a backstreet boys song (Songs that sound like Paradise)
:laugh3::laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

If this goes on the setlist...
NOPE

It's clear: "Paradise" - made for new, not old fans
I am an old fan - and yes I also think it is a catchy song but it is a bit too poppy for Coldplay - it does not really sound like them. It does really look like it is made for new fans - but hey this is important. There are brilliant songs on the album - but maybe it is not Paradise. I agree with too much repetition in the song too but am sure it works very well live.

[3-June-2011] Rock im Park: Nürnberg, Germany [possible setlist and first YouTube videos in 1st post
Rock im Park 2011 Farewell To All who have been to see Coldplay at Rock im Park 2011 in Nuremberg. Both my Boyfriend and I have been amazed by the concert, only to be left gutted at the end when they suddenly disappeared 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. There also has not been the usual coming to the front of the stage, all hugged, and bowing and waving. We thought this is a bit a odd and did not want to leave the place at first - only when we saw the roadies packing up it started to dawn that it is really over. We tried to get a viva chant on the way, but everybody else bar very view was leaving. So all in all a sad ending to a great gig. Did anybody else feel that way too - or was it just us? I thought that maybe they had to leave promptly for the Rock am Ring Festival, but still they could have come up to the front for 2 minutes after ETIAW - especially as it has been there first gig after some time. I have asked the Oracle this question, but did not get an answer ... What do you think?

Hello From Bavaria, Germany
@Chloe_Martin I have looked through the "I love Chris" Group, and I think my love for Chris and the band is more in a "platonic" way ... But I do love his voice, that's true - it makes me feel warm from the inside and all wrapped up.

Hello From Bavaria, Germany
Hey, it is quite nice here. Starting to think I should not have joined - I might spent far too much time ;) Yes I am eagerly awaiting the new album, I am quite annoyed that we Germans are not allowed to view the ETIAW video! Is there a secret place where it is free for us too?

Of Paper Butterflies and Coldplay
Favourite album is X&Y However I love to listen to the other older albums too. Especially I like Clocks, Scientist, Green Eyes, Everthings not lost ... From Viva, I like Cemetries of London and Viva best and Lost. So similiar to you. My family likes Coldplay, but not the extent I do. My husband recently said, I should not get too much occupied with them, since I made Coldplay.com my startpage and keep telling him the news.

Hello From Bavaria, Germany
Hello . I am a fan of Coldplay since their Album x&y. I have been living in UK at the time and we got given their older albums by an english friend to listen to. Then when they appeared on a few shows to promote X&Y, I was hooked! Only to hear on the Brit Awards that they will take some time out for family matters and of course the new album. ARGGH!! Finally, a few years later, I went on their two VIVA concerts in Munich. Rock im Park was my third coldplay concert. And I just love them. I even love Chris' voice when he talks. I ticked X&Y as my favourite albums, but I constantly listen to all of them. Even so I have to say, it took some time for some of the viva songs to grow on me.:
