  1. And also, wasn't Chris trying to get over some kind of a bug at that time? Their Australia trip was cancelled b/c he was ill. Still he didn't use it as an excuse to get out of this deal.
  2. I think I know every word of that Howard Stern interview by now. It's convenient for me to run listening to it b/c it gives me a solid 90 minutes. LOL
  3. Hmmm they seem in deep meditation, hopefully.
  4. Photographer framing the music By Barbara Simpson, Sarnia Observer Thursday, April 5, 2012 4:42:50 EDT PM Juno-nominated photographer Richard Beland shows off a shot of Coldplay at Lambton College. BARBARA SIMPSON / THE OBSERVER / QMI AGENCY Juno-nominated photographer Richard Beland shows off a shot of Coldplay at Lambton College. Beland is developing the curriculum of the school's new digital photography program. BARBARA SIMPSON / THE OBSERVER / QMI AGENCY Being a photographer is a lot about rolling with the punches. When Juno-nominated photographer Richard Beland worked with Coldplay, his study of their songs almost got the best of him. Before the shoot, the Bright's Grove native started singing “Yellow” in a washroom stall, breaking into lead singer Chris Martin's famous falsetto. When he left the stall, he discovered that none other than Martin had been in the washroom. “Then you have to go back in front of the band and compose yourself and be a professional,” Beland chuckled Tuesday. Beland, 44, has learned a lot about keeping his nerves in check in his more than 20-year-old music photography career. He has photographed rock legends like U2 and The Rolling Stones on tour to pop stars the Black Eyed Peas. Beland says professional photography is much more than capturing a great image. Photographers have to embody confidence, being able to hold conversations with subjects and making them comfortable in front of the lens. They must also have business smarts, being able to understand contracts and price jobs. “Being a great photographer is not enough,” Beland said. “You have to be a great businessperson too.” Beland's bounty of experience will help shape the new digital photography program at Lambton College. He has been hired as a consultant to develop the two-year diploma program starting in September. “We are so fortunate to have him as faculty,” said Cindy Buchanan, the college's director of marketing, communications and business development. Buchanan says potential students have shown a lot of interest in a photography program. Currently, Lambton College offers several non-credit digital photography courses that are often oversubscribed. The new two-year photography program will also digital video training. Beland says this follows an emerging industry trend to expect photographers to take both still and moving images. “I think it's essential to learn digital video and the programs that go with it,” he said. Students will be learn how to shoot the basics, like portraits, food, children, wedding and sports. However, Beland hopes to inspire students to marry their love of photography with another passion to help shape their careers. Growing up in Bright's Grove, a young Beland poured over Rolling Stone and Parader magazines. He initially studied mechanical engineering, but his love of music and photos led him to the audio/visual program at Fanshawe College. The ambitious college student soon started working for the campus paper with a desire to photograph big name acts in Toronto. “The editor said, 'If you pursue it, do the legwork, you can do it,'” he recalled. Beland started making contacts, and with patience and perseverance, he established himself in the industry. He has been nominated for two Canadian Country Music Association Awards and a Juno for his album photography. Beland has also spent time on tour with Canadian rockers Nickelback. He was also brought on to photograph their performance and backstage prep at the Grey Cup. “We went out for dinner (afterwards),” he recalled. “It turns out to be dinner with Prime Minister Stephen Harper.” Just another surprise in the life of a professional photographer. http://www.theobserver.ca/2012/04/05/photographer-framing-the-music
  5. Can't get past Politik at all! I've played it so much I'm afraid Fix You might get jealous. LOL
  6. When are you going to London?
  7. I wouldn't go by the oracle answer at all. There's no way she'd encourage fans to go to the bakery. I'm actually thinking that they have or they are about to start rehearsing for the upcoming tour.
  8. Very funny! That made me laugh at 6 in the morning.:laugh3:
  9. Einslive RadioKonzert July 10th, 2002. You can find it in MM
  10. Just a few months ago, it was very unpopular to express happiness at the thought of Chris and Gwyneth being happy. In fact, I was urged to go start my own website to post things like that. I'm so happy to know I don't live on an island.
  11. Chelsea Lately Big Interview when Gwyneth was promoting Country Strong in 2010.
  12. We are indeed!
  13. TY Wabbit! What a great interview! I didn't want it to end. Chris is way more than just a singer. Yes, he writes beautiful music, but he's also kind, considerate, humble, true, etc. It's a combination of attributes that makes him unique. And it's lovable that he doesn't even think of himself as such.
  14. If you ask me, she's very lucky to have found him:)
  15. One of my favorites as well. I've read it several times in the past few months. I'm really glad to see that people don't have a problem bringing up old articles.
  16. still lost in Politik, playing it over and over again.
  17. He was reading of course, but some parts sounded really good. All this and they couldn't even show us "mon ami" Bob? Chris made it so interesting I wanted to hear Bob speak. LOL
  18. Politik. Give me love over, love over, lover over thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis. I cannot listen to it 1x, I have to repeat it several times.
  19. This is an old interview when she was promoting Country Strong. It's funny about the kids' transatlantic accents, but I love the end b/c it's very serious and brings it home for me: Speaking of winning an Oscar at the age of 26 for 'Shakespeare In Love', she said: "I think I'm in a better place now, success and everything is amazing but all the good luck I have had in my life has led me to find my guy and our kids." 21. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55997 Last post. I re-uploaded it earlier today. The MuchMusic AXS Uncut interview (a.k.a. The Tube Has Spoken) is now available as well. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58581&page=2
  22. Very fun interview! Can you say it in a sentence: your balls are beautiful. LOL
  23. The guys said it was brought down and packed away in Chris' backyard. They had a joke in 1 interview that the kids might have added their own graffiti.
  24. I was ripping a Chris and Jonny video interview on last night and I just had to take a couple of still cute pictures. They walked in hand in hand Then, when the hostess recounted an emotional story of 3 yrs prior, how Chris walked in her make-up room and introduced himself. She says it's never done. Stars just don't look for hosts to introduce themselves. Also, after Chris introduced himself, he said, and this is my best friend Jonny. Below is what Jonny did when he heard that story
