UK gave birth to Colplay, but they belong to the world now. We all want a piece of them. You should be proud of the way they're representing your country. Something's telling me they wouldn't be in such a demand if they never "broke" the US. Sincerely, I'm interested to know if the Muse are in such a high demand as well? How many stadiums and arenas have they toured in the UK this year, or the last? Coldplay are huge b/c the world made them so, and they know it. Also, it'd be interesting to know the sales/album in both UK and US.

Funny I was just listening to an interview earlier where Chris says, Guy doesn't get excited about anything. They could be having a great gig and Chris will turn to him and say "isn't this great?" and Guy will just ignore him. LOL Chris likes reactions and Jonny gives him plenty.

The singer has to rest his voice? Looking at their schedule, I rarely see them scheduled 3 days (or nights) in a row. Of course there's also travel involved most of the time.

Too funny. Looking back I had so many near misses as well. I knew when they became known in the US b/c the members of my tennis messageboard were discussing the band in our music thread. I just had a full plate with starting a new business and having very young kids, moving to a different state that I just wasn't in mood to learn about new bands and new music. Then my husband had a copy of AROBTTH around the house that I promised I'd listen to 1 day, but just never did. Forward to summer 2008, I'm in a carpool with a car literally full of kids and Viva La Vida comes on the radio. All the kids including mine are singing outloud and I think to myself, this is a pretty good tune. 2 weeks later, I try to hum the tune, asking my son what song it was so I could look it up. Somehow he just could not remember. Another 2 1/2 years had to go by before I'd get a proper introduction. Oh well! Better later than never.

Saw some one perform Fix You on 1 of these tv shows. Run to youtube to search for the original and got hooked. It's funny in the official Fix You video, Chris looked like a Scandinavian to me.:)

I believe you just need to have an American Express credit card. You just log in to Ticket Masters on Monday 12th at 10a (or whatever time) and they'll guide through it. I was very tempted to apply for an Amex card but I'll resist. I'm sure they'll still be tickets on the 17th. I can't believe the band didn't give us fans priority.

You're mistaken. Coldplay, through Chris Martin, are very much liberal. Chris' parents were conservative though. I don't know if they still are. Make Trade Fair which is about showing fairness to farmers from 3rd world countries by not inundating their markets with subsidized and cheap goods from the west couldn't possibly be a conservative issue.
