Carl Lake, pictured, and his wife Samantha lost Jordan 12 years ago after he was born prematurely. Ahead of Coldplay’s gig at the University of East Anglia on Thursday, Mr Lake spotted the band’s drummer Will Champion outside the union building. The self-employed taxi driver from Heartsease asked if the band would dedicate their chart-topping hit Fix You to their son. The band flew into Norwich from Madrid and performed earlier in the day to 100 people as part of Radio 1’s student tour. The main concert in the evening, which was aired live on DJ Zane Lowe’s radio show, saw them play songs from their new album Mylo Xyloto as well as all-time favourites such as The Scientist, Clocks and Yellow. Mr Lake queued for 36 hours to get tickets to see Coldplay. He said the band’s tribute to his son was “extra special” as this week is Jordan’s memorial week. Jordan was born on October 25, 1999, at just 24 weeks. He died eight days later on November 3, 1999. “The gig was absolutely amazing and with them dedicating Fix You to Jordan, it just topped it all off – it was definitely worth queuing for,” said Mr Lake. “I’m really chuffed that I asked them to do it. We were in shock – I was with my dad, wife and mother-in-law and we were all in tears.”

Which ever way you interpret it, so long as you understand Chris is just being his silly self, that's fine. Try not to take things like these so seriously.

Neither have I. After being on my feet for 6+ hrs, I just wanted to go home when they left the stage. I didn't feel like hanging around to see if they'd come back to meet with fans. Thankfully I haven't read any stories that they did or I would be pissed I missed it. Perhaps next time when they come to town and play indoors, I might hang around after the concert with rested feet.

Was Princess of China already released as a single? They should record their version of We Found Love and release it as a single.

OMG! Me too! I listen to the interviews more. In fact I have all of them uploaded on an SD card on my phone and that's all I listen to whether working out at the gym or doing house chores. I go to bed listening to Chris Martin interviews every night. This is too weird.

For the last 3 months, I've been going to bed listening to Coldplay interviews, so naturally I've had different Coldplay dreams. By now it's established (in my dreams) that Chris is my boyfriend. LOL. 1x I run into the guys (all 4) but except for Chris, the others didn't really look like they do in real life. Chris was talking to this other girl and told me he was coming right back. I waited and waited with the guys for what looked like hrs. Finally I told them I was leaving. The Will in my dreams (who doesn't look like the real Will) offered to go after Chris with me. So we followed this path in this weird neighborhood. We finally found him sitting, still chatting with the other girl on the side of the road. I was very furious and began to leave. He came after me, explaining that she's just a friend and that he just lost track of time. I've had a couple more dreams about Mr. Martin, but it's always along those lines. We have a troubled relationship in my dreams, always fighting about something. LOL
