  1. Thx. Do you know if the 2 links provided are the same or will the web one actually show the concert as opposed to just providing audio. I'm asking b/c I want to be prepared to record the concert.
  2. When you get jealous upon learning that the Foo Fighters are going to play at the Democratic National Convention tonight and think it should be Coldplay.
  3. Jonny does speak his mind 1x in a while. There's this X&Y era interview where Chris goes on and on about the way his life has changed, things he doesn't enjoy (paps), etc. Jonny interrupts and says his life is just great. You can see Chris giving him a look.
  4. The picture below has convinced me that Chris can convert anyone. Wrappers are supposedly the toughest guys of them all.
  5. Gwyneth Paltrow makes a surprise cameo on ‘The New Normal’ [Video] By Dave Nemetz | Fall TV NBC's new fall comedy "The New Normal" is already generating plenty of press, both good and bad. But one big-time celebrity cameo has somehow managed to fly under the radar so far: An uncredited Gwyneth Paltrow pops up in the series premiere with a clever cameo -- which you can watch in the clip above. The Goop goddess plays Abby, one of the possible egg donors that gay couple Bryan and David (Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha) are considering to help them make their baby. Bryan and David are looking through video profiles when they stumble upon Abby, who admits in a dour monotone that "people say I look a lot like Gwyneth Paltrow..." Needless to say, the boys rush to the phone to call her in, determined to have a half-Gwyneth baby of their very own. It may seem strange that an Oscar winner like Paltrow would agree to a one-joke cameo on a new show, but it makes sense when you realize who's behind "The New Normal": producer Ryan Murphy. The Paltrow-Murphy connection goes all the way back to his 2006 feature directorial debut, "Running With Scissors," which she co-starred in. She later won an Emmy for playing substitute teacher Holly Holliday on Murphy's "Glee," and has already signed on to star in Murphy's new big-screen musical comedy, "One Hit Wonders." Considering their BFF status, maybe we'll see Gywnnie pop up as a ghost on the new season of Murphy's "American Horror Story," too. http://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/fall-tv/gwyneth-paltrow-makes-surprise-cameo-normal-video-231202014.html
  6. Gwyneth Paltrow steps up for Stand Up to Cancer By Matt Donnelly September 6, 2012, 4:00 a.m. Gwyneth Paltrow has mastered the day job. The Oscar winner is capable in both the stilettos of"ENMV0002398">"Iron Man's" Pepper Potts and in the herb garden she's displayed on her lifestyle blog Goop. So when given the chance to moonlight for a project like Stand Up to Cancer, the biennial televised fundraiser that utilizes an hour of commercial-free broadcasting across the big four networks and a slew of cable stations, she knew she couldn't phone it in. "When I do something, I want to actually do it, I want to commit and put my time in," Paltrow told us of her role as executive producer for the Sept. 7 telecast. "I don't want it to be a B.S. thing with my name on it." "I was really honored they asked me, and it's been fun helping organize, asking people for favors and really getting involved." And it's a pretty high profile list of favors. Stand Up to Cancer will recruit top stars, with names like Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Justin Timberlake, Julia Roberts, Samuel L. Jackson and Emma Stone taking part. Their efforts will include manning a media bank with phones, live video chats and other social media platforms to benefit the organization's mission of directly raising funds for cancer treatment. "I feel a lot of empathy for these patients and families," said Paltrow, who lost her father, Bruce, to oral cancer in 2002. "It's wonderful to be involved in something that’s approaching research and doctors with a real proactivity, down to their distribution of funds." Paltrow is executive producing alongside Joel Gallen, whose resume boasts work like the 9/11 telethon "America: A Time for Heroes" and "Hope for Haiti: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief." First-hand accounts and a series of short, documentary-style films will showcase patient stories, along with live performances from Coldplay (naturally), Alicia Keys, Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift. PHOTOS: Stand Up to Cancer 2010 And you can expect some Paltrow DNA in there, like the star's penchant for healthy living. "There’s a bit of that, and it was really an important part of my involvement. Not just health and exercise -- we have a segment where we have doctors speak about consciousness," Paltrow said, "specialists that prove, and not in a kooky L.A. way of thinking, that there's power behind positive thought." Paltrow even has influence on the micro level, ushering the Gwyneth Effect into her production office. "Talking to Gwyneth and seeing what her routines are, she introduced me to her integrative medicine doctor, and I had a nice chat with him. I'm a believer in the Gwyneth factor," Gallen said. He's also behind the message he and Paltrow have curated for this particular show, the third in Stand Up's history: hope. "We want to give people hope. Point is, the government does not fund the research enough. Without privately funded organizations like Stand Up to Cancer, we're not going anywhere," Gallen said. Following the telecast, Paltrow is due to hit the Toronto Film Festival to promote her sex-addiction comedy "Thank You For Sharing," then she'll head home to London for what she called "back-to-school mode with the kids." "I've got three jobs, two kids and a touring husband," she joked of her family and partner, Chris Martin of Coldplay. Pepper Potts isn't the only one with capable stilettos. "Stand Up to Cancer" airs Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. on NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox. Cable networks hosting the telecast include BIO, E!, Encore, HBO, HBO Latino, ION Television, Lifetime Movie Network, Logo, MLB Network,mun2, Palladia, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, Starz, Style, TBS and VH1. http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/gossip/la-et-mg-gwyneth-paltrow-interview-stand-up-cancer,0,2664116.story

  10. When you go flying down the stairs to find out why Clocks is playing on tv.
  11. Clocks being played at the US Open at the end of the 2nd set between Samantha Stosur and Vika Azarenka. Seems appropriate as the clock is ticking for 1 of these 2 ladies.
  12. Also, Stand Up To Cancer is on Sept 7, not 11.
  13. Blythe Danner on mom roles, Gwyneth, and her favorite Coldplay tune (CBS News) Two-time Emmy winner and film actress, Blythe Danner, is no stranger to playing a mom. Her starring role in "Meet the Parents," displayed her comedic chops and when the cameras aren't rolling, she is real-life mom to Gwyneth and Jake Paltrow and a grandmother. On Tuesday, Danner stopped by "CBS This Morning" to talk with co-host Gayle King about taking on another "mom role," and to talk about life with Gwyneth and her late husband. Of her recent roles, Danner said "Lately, I'm doing a lot of grandmothers, which is fine. I just want to keep working. I have no worry or pride about the age thing." Danner is promoting her newest movie, "Hello, I Must Be Going," in which she plays a "mother having to deal with her daughter coming back to live with them," a role she says she loved because "she is so three-dimensional." Danner got personal when she started talking about her late husband, Bruce Paltrow, who died five years ago of oral cancer. Their daughter, Gwyneth, will co-produce the fundraising event, Stand Up For Cancer, on September 11. When asked if she was open to finding new love today, Danner answered, "No I don't think so. It would be nice to have somebody to spend some time with," she said candidly and continued, "but when you've had the best ... that's it." And while Danner claims she doesn't have just one favorite Coldplay song -- Gwyneth Paltrow is married to the band's frontman, Chris Martin -- she did divulge, "Well, he wrote 'Fix You' for Gwyneth because Bruce had just died. Chris didn't get to meet Bruce ... he wrote that for Gwyneth, for Bruce." 17. Coldplay's Chris Martin And Gwyneth Paltrow Wish Beyonce Happy 31st Birthday 4th September 2012, 10:13 The 'Crazy In Love' star received a host of well-wishes and messages from friends and family today. Beyonce is celebrating turning 31 today (4th September) and has received a host of personal messages from friends and family – including Chris Martin and wife Gwyneth Paltrow. The 'Love On Top' singer's official website has been taken over by an array of well-wishes with the Coldplay man's message on display. In the greeting, Gwyneth refers to the singer as "BB" and the note is signed by each member of her family – including the couple's two children, Apple and Moses. "For dear sweet BB on the occasion of her 31st birthday….we love you so very much. Love, Gwyneth, Chris, Apple, Moses," read the message. Jay-Z's mum Gloria Carter said she admired how "grounded" and "humble" Bey has continued to be since she came into her life as a "sweet southern girl". You can view a picture of Beyonce's birthday message from Chris and Gwyneth below: Her Destiny's Child bandmate Michelle Williams also added to the messages and stated that the pair will "never part". Meanwhile, Bey showed her support to husband Jay-Z this weekend at his Made In America music festival in Philadelphia. 20. Paralympics closing ceremony turning into a rap party as Jay-Z joins Rihanna in signing up Jay-Z is promising London 2012 chiefs an “incredible performance” which will wow the audience of one billion worldwide It has been the Games to end all Games. And now, fittingly, the Paralympic closing ceremony will be the most spectacular in history with rapper Jay-Z signed up to perform. The global rap star, 42, will join Coldplay on stage, promising London 2012 chiefs an “incredible performance” which will wow the audience of one billion worldwide. News of the star’s appearance is almost certain to sell out the final few remaining tickets for the extravaganza this Sunday. A show source said: “Jay-Z and Chris Martin are close friends so he helped to get the rapper on board. “They are putting together a spectacular set list – one likely to include a duet. “It’s going to be one hell of a show and fans of both artists will be clamouring for tickets. "The Paralympics has exceeded all expectation and, like the rest of the world, Jay-Z has been blown away by their bravery and athleticism. “This will be a concert like no other and a fantastic end to what has been the most successful Paralympics ever.” Jay-Z, who headlined Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend earlier this summer, is the latest big name to join the show, after pop star Rihanna was named last week. She is expected to sing the collaboration track Princess Of China with Coldplay as part of the gig based on a theme of earth, wind, water, fire and ice. The singer, 24, is also expected to belt out her hit, Umbrella. Coldplay and Rihanna, meanwhile, played together in Paris on Sunday night. Afterwards she poetically tweeted: “Coldplay f***in rules.” As well as the chart stars, a new orchestra comprised of 17 performers with disabilities is also preparing to play at the closing ceremony. The musicians, whose performance with Coldplay has been kept secret, gathered at a church in North London for rehearsals last week. They are said to be working on tracks by the band. http://www.mirror.co.uk/lifestyle/going-out/music/jay-z-to-join-rihanna-and-coldplay-at-paralympic-1301992
