Chris Martin about Radiohead

I also love how they're not media whores, and neither are coldplay, for that matter They just care about the music, and how they distribute it and what's best for them and their fans. True musicians.

The Thom Yorke Thread
Of course there's a Thom Yorke thread! Everywhere you go in the coldplay realm you'll hear Radiohead or Thom Yorke!!! I LOVE THOM YORKE. I love how he shuns publicity and tries his hardest to create the music he wants to create. he's very intelligent.

Björk
I love Human Behaviour - When it was performed at Glasto in 1994 it was AMAZING- her voice was so unearthly. Then have you heard the duet she did with Thom Yorke for Dancer In The Dark (the film by Lars Von Trier she was in), called "I've Seen It All." I nearly cried when I heard it. The meeting of two amazing voices. It's seriously amazingamazing. She just does the music she likes when she feels like it and she doesn't care about any of the commercial, material stuff and she is so unique musically and she has one of the best voices ever produced. Even Madonna used one of her songs! I Love the music video for "it's so quiet...ssh...ssh..YOU LIGHT A FUSE!" really good!

Coldplay Music Videos
My fave music videos of Coldplay: The Scientist is legendarily amazingly brilliant. It's so poignant, I nearly cried. Another is Strawberry Swing. It's so joyous and full of colour. And IADORE God Put A Smile...Because it's got Paddy Considine (one of my favourite actors; he's so great in Hot Fuzz!), and the monocolour idea was Brilliant. Somehow it reminds me of the Just video by Radiohead. Sorry! I'm sorry to say it, but I think Charlie Brown in OK. I mean, I love the idea of two mislead adventurers finding love, but it's like all pop music videos and it doesn't have the coldplay-esque touch. They could've done something a bit more action-packed. And it also gets a bit rude the video does, just a bit, which Idon't like... But however, I love how the cinematographic (sorry for the big word, it basically means how they film, and I'm not explaining to be patronising - I don't even think it's a word! Sorry!) vibrance echoes the song. I LOVE COLDPLAY. I (VIRTUALLY)LOVE ALL THEIR VIDEOS. I LOVE THEM. woopwoop!

Is there any relationship between coldplay and radiohead?
In an interview (with Live, I think), Chris Martin said about Radiohead: "They've always been very sweet to us. We know two friendly but only by text." These two bands are too mannered to throw slanging matches at eachother, and I don't think they hate eachother. However Chris did once say before: "Thom Yorke ignored me at a hotel and I was secretly a bit gutted. With Radiohead, I feel as if we're in a high school and Radiohead are in the year above us and they haven't invited us to their table yet." So....I'm not sure. I think people get "The relationship of Coldplay and Radiohead" and "The relationship of Thom Yorke and Chris Martin." mixed up. I think I did just now!
