LP6
So it's official: Atlas was produced just by Coldplay with Daniel Green and Rik Simpson. :) No Eno, no Dravs or any other stranger this time, just Coldplay and their guys! I hope this is the case with whole new album. ;)

LP6
So, some have already heard Atlas now and those who haven't, will hear it very soon. Hearing Atlas is like a little rest stop during wait for LP6. Like most of you have already said Atlas sounds like a mix of all the different sounds Coldplay has ever produced. Even if some don't think, that Atlas as a song is really great, you should pay attention how masterful is the production side of that song. I listened to song 5 times trying to judge the production, I just can’t find any weak points. Tell me if you can? Thinking about, how Chris comes up with little piece with piano and then they produce something like that out of it, makes me really proud of the band. Of course, we are yet to see if Atlas was the hint of the sound of the next album, but I don’t see no reason why not. I think we should not compare it to Christmas Lights release. For me sound of Atlas seems too polished to be just one off thing and it must have influenced other songs they are creating at the moment. If they have produced something like Atlas now, they must know, that this is when they sound at their best. Now it’s really just up to Chris to write the best songs he can, because band with production like that can produce anything... One of the most important questions then is, who is leading their production this time, or do they think that they have learnt all they can during creating last albums and try how it works out by their own with the guys that have been there from the start (Dan Green and Rik Simpson)? It would be very interesting to hear some new interviews from the band members at the moment. And again, can anybody say it to Chris: „Just please write the best f***ing songs you can!“

Rate Atlas - and post your review
1st listening done. :) Song builds and builds, and in the end i didn't have to disappoint. Jonny Boy guitar magic was like a icing on the cake  Great song for a soundtrack. And i have to say, production of that song is REALLY good. Spacey synths and guitar sounds make a amazing atmosphere.

I think the worst thing here is, that we got to taste the little preview and now these last hours of waiting are even longer. Need to hear the full song, but judging from preview, all the magic in that song is the build up. Beginning with piano doesn't sound too special, but it sounds good and i really like it. :)

Can anybody think of a reason why was it available in New Zealand's iTunes Store for some time and then taken down?

LP6
I think this new song definately is not an old song from Viva or MX era, it seems to be written specially for that movie. The Hunger Games is also ispired by Greek Mythology. Or it could be that new album is coincidentally also inspired by mythology? :) Anyway i'm really waiting how new song sounds. Lyrically it seems very very short song, so there should be room for beautiful piano and guitar melodies ;)

Steve Kilbey & Martin Kennedy: You Are Everything
Let's put this shortly: Absolutely brilliant album from Australia! Collaboration between two Australians: Steve Kilbey (lead singer and songrwriter from progressive rock band called The Church) and Martin Kennedy (founding member of instrumental electronic collective All India Radio). Already at the first songs I was totally astonished :stunned:: "what a songwriting and composing". And at first listening that album made it to the end never disappointing me, which happens very rarely. So far, definately best piece of album this year. No weak song on that album and album works just amazingly as a whole. And it becomes even better after few listenings. I picked 4 songs which you should definately listen: Album opener „I wouldn’t know“ [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgMjwrt0-K0]Steve Kilbey & Martin Kennedy - I Wouldn't Know - YouTube[/ame] Oh, what a lyrics „Brother Moon Sister Sun“ [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cowPZA1L1wo]Steve Kilbey & Martin Kennedy - Brother Moon Sister Sun - YouTube[/ame] Also one of the uptempo songs on the album: „Can’t Get Free“. And 3rd song on the album „Lorelei“ which for me sounds like Coldplay’s „Politik“, but in someway is even better - yes :). One of the reviews wrote: „Lorelei“ is a thumpier, droning number that sounds like what Coldplay could achieve if they had any depth. Have a nice listening, maybe some of you will find any good from that album. ;)

[12-Dec-2012] Chris Martin @ 12.12.12 - The Concert For Sandy Relief, Madison Square Garden, New Yor
STYLISH performance :D My opinion: Viva on acoustic guitar works better than piano versions, that I have heard. Don’t know why, but for me Viva with Chris alone on piano becomes boring after first verse. With acoustic guitar performance was more energetic and ryhtmic. And with suit on, that was just stylish. Also good idea to perform Losing My Religion with Michael Stipe. Us Against the World on piano is even more calming than on guitar and that worked well in that setlist. But like always, Chris performing alone looks a bit nervous and lost.

Coldplay: 'We've got a name for our next album'
I think, whatever direction they choose for next album, it's going to be very interesting anyway. Seeing them so confident and relaxed at the moment has made me hope for something special. For me, MX will always be a Coldplay's pop album and I really love it as a whole. It was produced like that and it is very good as a pop album, but that’s enough of para-para and wa-wa-wa this time for me. :D I think, next album will be definately less pop sounding. Still they will try to continue to carry on this colourful and massive stadium filling sound, that’s what I think after seeing the movie. Seeing how much they enjoy big live shows at the moment, it seems impossible that they are going to quiet and acoustic direction. So, I hope next one will carry on Mylo Xyloto’s stadium filling sound, but I prefer songs little bit less produced. Compared to MX, I would love more simple and genius songs like Politik, Clocks, The Scientist and Fix You. MX was really lacking that, I guess. But what kind of sound will they choose? My dream would be a mash up of X&Y and Viva sounds, and little bit of MX’s colourfulness sprayed over it... I feel that with MX they have kind of finished building strong basis as a band. Now is the time to step to the next level of creativeness and bang out something really genius and special! That's my opinion :)

ColdplayFilm - MX Live DVD
Wow, it was amazing! I'm pleased we got to see it in Estonia. Never been to real Coldplay show, but watching that movie with 500 people was quite close to real show. In the end when Every Teardrop started, at least 40 people stood up and danced along to it, that surprised me a bit :D. Great to see that there is at least some Coldplay fans in Estonia! :) Also saw one girl near me with 3 Xylobands. I have to admit, I really wanted to steal one:D Seeing that today made me want to experience real Coldplay show even more. I really hope, that one day they understand that fans in Estonia and countries like Finland, Latvia and Lithuania also deserve a concert! :D
