^ I'm not taking it seriously, but everyone can say if they don't like Coldplay... Few other people who have seen the movie meanwhile have expressed that they liked song. Media people who have seen this movie so far are not allowed to talk about any details at all. They are only allowed to say that they saw the movie and maybe one little comment, but they can't make any objective comments or make a review yet.

^ She's not a troll, the fact is that she's a journalist and there have been screenings of Unbroken for media, recently in LA. But those who have been invited for these screenings are aware of the embargo to say anything about the movie until it's released for public. One really interesting tweet about "Miracles" from someone who was able to see Unbroken movie... "Just saw Unbroken. I loved it until a Coldplay song played over the end credits." sounds like she really disliked it or i misunderstood? :lol:

In some way it sounds like this is an album, where they go ALL OUT to just release some really really great songs, and not concentrate too much on making coherent album with some story behind it. If that's true, then I think, the point of it is all about getting ready for a big tour. This means having some songs to make the best setlist for concerts to conquer every part of the world they can. So in that way everything makes sense, but we are about to see that very soon. I mean, there is no point at all to release the next album so soon, if it doesn't include conquering the world with the big tour.

I'm pretty sure MX album as CD was leaked just a week before the worldwide release and just couple of days before the release in Japan. I think you are talking about official announcement of the album title "Mylo Xyloto"? Yes, that title came up even months before the official announcement from the music copyright database where the titles are registered. I think it was from http://www.prsformusic.com. By the way is there anyone who is user on that site and can spy for some titles for us? :sneaky:

Wow, if it really is released at the start of 2015, we can wait for it pretty soon. If they really want to release it so soon after "Ghost Stories", there must be some really strong material written... I mean i would be very surpirsed if they released it so soon, they could work on it still and noone is rushing them to release it. They must feel really confident about it.

BooBooBoo, now that you have added more information, it's getting more reliable... But yeah whether it's true or not, it still makes Coldplayers' life more interesting. Exactly what we need during the time when it started to get kind of quiet in here! ;) I'd like to believe your story. "There is a song that I'm sure Adidas will try to use in their advertisements" - that sounds really interesting! Most exciting for me is the question if these collaborations just mean that quest's are singing, or are they contributing in some other way? Is there any specific producer they were working with? And is it correct then that the tracklist is almost confirmed?

A little piece of new information about "Miracles". Track length seems to be 3 minutes and 56 seconds, what I consider it as quite short... I hoped for a little longer song honestly, but hopefully it has a concise build up, because that melody what we have heard so far sounds promising to make it great radio song during Christmas. Well, Midnight is very extreme example. Will seems to play with the Reactable in live actually and drumbeat is played live indeed. I think that Guy might be playing bassline in live with laser harp, it's quite simple. But what Chris intends to do, I don't really understand... Seems like just a show element. But yes, Midnight is full electronic track, so i'm not complaining about it really. Although I think they really should think about having some additional musicians on stage. Why not invite Jon Hopkins to band for live shows? That guy would fit in so perfectly.

Yes... it's pretty awkward how much backing tracks they use and when they fake playing keyboards. People can argue that they do this and they do that, but the fact is that they do very much miming and playing with backing tracks on stage and they do it well. There are even parts where you could think they are definately playing live, but there is backing track playing. Anyway, we should accept that they have gone this way. Most of the songs after X&Y are all about giving a performance and not actually concentrating on playing the songs purely live. That's what Coldplay is now... a pop/rock act, which is relying more on giving perfromances full of effects than playing songs live. There are a lot of different bands out there if you want to see and hear the band playing amazingly 100% of the music live, but just right now Coldplay is not one of them.

After all these albums they have produced, they have oppurtinities to go to any direction they want really. Next album would be definately bigger sounding and with big tunes, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it's EDM in its purest form. I think we won't hear so pure EDM anymore as "A Sky Full Of Stars" was. So, listening to interviews about "Ghost Stories"... I remember they said something like that they wanted to make song having one really good quality sound, than having a wall of sounds and different layers which each sound average. I think they managed to do that really well and "Ghost Stories" has a really "clear" and good sound. I see them continuing that ideology with next album, but the sounds are bigger. And electronics... I think releasing "Midnight" on "Ghost Stories" definately allows them to continue using electronic elements in their songs even more without sounding weird. That's the progression of music. Electronic elements are coming in for many different artists more and more these days and i don't mean EDM synth sounds by that. I would like them to continue working with Jon Hopkins more, maybe even bring him to stage on live shows to play keyboards and handle electronics. ;) What we know definately is that next album will be bigger sounding and it would be time for festivals and stadiums again. I think that bigger sound doesn't mean dancy and upbeat songs only. There could be some, but there could be also some classic ballads with big crescendos at the end. That's what they should aim for in my opinion... a few songs that could be good enough to play instead of "Fix You" and "Politik" for example... :)

Nice! From the parts we can hear, it has definately the potential to be a great soundtrack and unique Coldplay song. In some way sounds like mix of Paradise and Politik for me... However this clip doesn't give much clue how the song is structured and built up, but there is potential! Melody sounds simple and nice, and crescendo sounds really promising. I really hope they didn't make it too short, it should be at least 5 minutes long. Let's wait for that song! ;)

Sorry, i listened to it too. :shy: Although quality was not good, i now have the idea of the song. I'm relieved it isn't a bad song and good quality studio version will definately sound amazing, really waiting for it! Structure of the song was really good, but need to hear better version to enjoy the guitar and piano. Song starts with clubby piano part and goes dancy like ETIAW, but VERY high flying melody. Sounds little like ETIAW and DLIBYH, but it wasn't so full sound, it was more airy with some glistening guitarsound and there's room for Chris' singing to shine. Definately will be one of the songs for everyone to remember from this summer. ;)

We don't know yet, but it's probably just instrumental piece of music for some scene in the film. At least i think that, so please don't have too high hopes for another song. :)

Didn't know where to post this, but it's related to Hunger Games soundtrack too, i guess. So, i had too much time today :lol: and searched some stuff on ASCAP database where the new music is registered. And what I found... Coldplay seems to be involved in some other musical piece for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire beside "Atlas". That piece (with Work ID 885837837) is called "We're a team" and is co written with James Newton Howard (composer who writes scores for movie and also for the new Catching Fire movie). That's it, thought maybe someone is interested in that information :)
