I think it's easier to name "LP7 - A Head Full of Dreams" thread with new name "LP6,5 - General frustration and grief of album which never saw the light of day" :D Ok, i'm not contributing to general discussion in this thread anymore. :)

I think that's the problem, they aren't actually teasing. Any kind of teasing people are talking about, is an illusion. :D

If so many are dying even before the release, i don't want to imagine how many is going to die after the release.

Saying that again... the longer we go without any official news, the higher are possibilities for sudden surprise release. :P So, album out on this Friday, stream of the album out on Monday evening like with Ghost Stories. haha nevermind that previous stuff. Anyway...I would be fine even with a single release sometime in near future... That's as politically correct as i can be with my wishes. :D

I actually don't think the total sales will be affected that much. Adele and Coldplay are different acts, + what i have read Adele's album lacking big production, being mostly acoustic and piano-led. Coldplay has potential to come out with something far more interesting. Only the "being number 1" would be affected by that. Personally i wouldn't care about it at all. I would prefer Coldplay not having that much spotlight immedietely, while instead having their album critically much acclaimed and sales staying high later on.

Exact release date has more to do with the record company than Coldplay. If that competition with Adele is so important to anyone, only solution is to just put the whole album out right now. hahah whatever though :D i don't want to contribute to speculations. But another Monday is coming, at least some fans still haven't lost their hope...

LMAO, this thread is becoming ridiculous -Raises his hand and wants to contribute to this awesome thread- :D I reckon, there will be single coming out in October still or at least before the end of year in worst case. Using my logic and hearing what they're saying in recent interviews (things like they're finishing up something and they've wanted to create something like AHFOD for a long time and stuff) i would say filming music video and the 2 live performances were probably meant to be like little breathers before making the finishing touches to the album. So they knew this one song will be the single which definitely represents the album and filmed the video in advance to go back to studio to finish it up. As it's been in the making for a long time they're confidentely delaying any information before it's ready. Realistically, if they aren't making any drastic changes with the album right now, it will be released before the end of year. And with more and more time passing since filming of the video, I see the probability of surprise release of the album rising. But "your guess is as good as mine" -sits down and goes back to patient waiting mode- EDIT damn, this thread has always been ridiculous

I see this thread together with "Amazing Day" thread becoming more and more like a "Coldplay related frustration" threads :thinking: Just say it all out guys, it's therapeutic :D I think there has never been so much frustration before the release of any other album in the world. So when it finally comes out, it seriously might be fatal. I'm not kidding :D Anyway i'm hoping all the best still, that after the album release, frustration turns to 100% opposite direction.

While waiting for A Head Full of Dreams to come out, i advise everyone to relax and for example check out new album by A-Ha. I have no idea how i didn't notice it coming out a month ago. Feeling so ashamed haha, busy times I guess:D But it's just wonderful music, great songs, rich production. I agree that fans have right to be worried after hearing Miracles and Amazing Day, but these songs might not even give a bit of a hint how the full album is going to sound. Instead of being worried, i'm excited to hear how Coldplay uses Stargate to evolve sound for this record. I'm sure there is a certain reason why they hired Stargate and there is a lot of interesting things coming out of it. Just now is not the right time judge Coldplay and Stargate collaboration, i think. We can do that soon :) And interestingly i can say that somehow Ghost Stories has become the album which i enjoy listening to the most right now, although at first i didn't like it at all.

As long as each day someone says "We might hear something today" there is still hope for new Coldplay album :D Keep it up guys!

Some people just don't understand that this song is not meant to be the next big Coldplay hit... Just listen to song as a standalone song, don't judge it.

It's a nice song, it shouldn't be judged with such a rush :D. Come on, just listen and feel relaxed. It's not meant to be a next great Coldplay song, it will be an album track and i'm sure it has earned its place there. Just peace guys, and have an amazing day :)

It sounds a bit bigger in sound than GS for me. Didn't Chris say that at some point during making the Ghost Stories, bigger sounding songs started to come out? One of them was A Sky Full of Stars. But it could be anything until we don't know what it really is. It could a song from new album, it could be a special song for event, it could be a song that we never will hear again... Now it's just an "unheard song". So let's wait for the next step. We will hopefully know more at the end of day. And this song did not have electronic drums. How could people miss the sound of cymbals. Even i heard it :D

It might sound like leftover of Ghost Stories, but who said there won't be any similarities between Ghost Stories and AHFOD? :D I really like it, but i'm hoping for it to be something great when i hear it in full length. Right now it's just a nice song based on these clips.

A new song definitely has some elements of Always In My Head. Similar drum rythm, beautiful guitar melody and nice atmospheric synth/strings backing track. Coldplay sounds really good like that, + that kind of singing suits well for Chris's voice. Really waiting to hear it in full to say if it will be a next great song of Coldplay, but it definitely will be at least a nice album track.

Hmm, looks like 7 albums and A Head Full of Dreams is the first one... There will be some flowers on album cover? :D

They are quite sadists, aren't they? Bullying fans... Chris singing these new lyrics (i suppose) at the end was the max level of it. :D
