oh yes, i wasn't implying that this is for lp7. according to rihanna fans, they are expecting her next lp and a soundtrack album from one of her movies soon. so basically could be for her.

except chris has said in multiple interviews that they have written for rihanna and has showed her the songs. she liked at least one. also chris was pictured in studio with rihanna sometime last year.

hahaa! not my pic, came across it. so supposedly, rihanna has an album coming anytime now and another movie soundtrack coming. rihanna fans think this is from one of those, since chris said multiple times that he was working with her on maybe multiple songs. also, i tried to find the original post in the website, couldn't find it. so i'm throwing this in the rumor file.

i wonder if Mila is doing the artwork for lp7. from a recent mila interview also she has some nice things to say about the band.

the band do seem to be more introverted when it comes to sharing information on their studio time as of late. we don't have the prospekt or R42 updates any more. too bad.. regarding chris being dominating in the studio/recording, the most respected material in coldplay's career came out of the times when this was mentioned. now with the band being split across the atlantic, i think/hope it is more democratic and with chris' musical tastes as of late, the rest of the band stepping up in dressing up the songs in more unconventional (at least to coldplay) styles would be great! viva had the best musical composition in a coldplay album i think and we can argue for enoxification effects there. i hope they bring in someone new, someone who can whip them up again and throw them off balance. after MX with eno, i'd rather see someone new in the recording studio.

yeah, it is disrespectful in a way how openly she talks about a very private person. but the again like cakey said, she mostly seems to show why it didn't work out every time she gives an interview.

i guess i have blocked out the most troubling things i've seen. nothing comes to mind off the bat except several animal abuse videos. those are the ones that are intolerable for me too. i try to stay away from those as much as i possibly can.

from time to time, there are more left-field songs making it in mainstream. but i also think midnight wouldn't work as a single just because of how ambient the song is. i've heard that the scientist was sped up by certain pop radio stations when that came out and was popular. so midnight would have a hard time finding a place in such stations. anyway, on being relevant, one measure would be the amount of sales of the albums. x&y and viva were both the best selling album of their respective years. i think mx was in the top 10. and GS is the 4th best selling album this year. this is without major touring or as much promo as in the previous releases. that argues for their current relevance. but another metric could be the awards. and i think coldplay haven't won any awards for songwriting since viva. they have won for touring, live. but not for songwriting. this is somewhat indicates what the industry types think of their recent work. but again, this is just one aspect of it.

maybe you are right. sure do hope so.

yeah, they were hits. but i doubt they will be remembered in 10 years' time. but the earliest songs have already endured.
