x the more i read about the super bowl performance, the more i'm convinced coldplay made one of the biggest mistakes in their band life with that performance, the way it was done. the biggest event they didn't live up to the expectations, within their abilities.

Oh I wasn't implying that the other members are sitting on their hands in their free time :) I was talking about band related things. Or even other musical projects. The chances are we never hear about what the others do anyway because they are low-key. Anyway, with Graham Norton and NRJ performances coming up next month, great to get more coldplay performances again.

I think Chris is just bored. Unlike the other members in the band, he always does small things when they are taking time off. It looks like Chris is more confident/doesn't care these days that he'll do a TV show instead of the the small charity/radio shows he usually does.

i'm looking forward to this too. but still, it is strange to think of a solo chris performance on a late night tv show. without nothing obvious to promote (except the next tour leg).

don't you see it?? it's all a conspiracy! a head full of DREAMS! it's all been right in front of us all this time! coldplay subconsciously associating themselves with "dreams". i'm pretty sure either illumin*ti is behind this or it's coldplay's doing to get more money in the tour by making them want to see ahfod tour live! in their dreams! /s

the big ticket price difference between the US and the other countries for the floor tickets has to also do with the discrepancy in head count when you have arranged seating. it definitely is a better model to earn more in the US. with rich casual fans paying up the big money for the front row seats.

i agree about the inexcusable ticket prices. and i too blame the US promoters for the model they are using (completely different from the rest of the countries). but part of the blame has to go to coldplay. as a dominant artist, they have a say here. it comes across as not caring for their true US fans, but going for the quick money. one positive thing that should be noted is, even for the seating arranged floor seats in the US, they don't sell the first couple of rows. they go to the big fans (or seem like big fans) on the day. at least that was the case until this year. don't think it'll change next year, because they've been doing this a long time. so even if you pay the big money, you can't get front row.
