i never understand quotes like this to be honest. downhill since parachutes (what about a rush of blood??) or downhill since x&y... haven't people heard viva? that was the most creative era in coldplay history for me. the range and maturity of output of that era is unparalleled although a rush of blood may be the best album coldplay have produced. i know music is subjective, but i can't understand how a coldplay fan might not admire viva for it's accomplishment.

don't think anyone knows for sure what it is. the consensus at the time was that this is an unreleased coldplay song.

actually GS title wasn't an anon. it was a random guy tweeting saying that he was in a flight with chris and moses and overheard chris saying this to his son. originally he tweeted NME with this info if i remember correctly.

the thing is, with GS there was a lot more going on. the concerts, random sightings of coldplay filming, constant sightings of the band both sides of the pond and even a picture of the whole band chilling outside a recording studio. but right now, there is very little to go by. other than jonny going with chris to a couple of acoustic charity gigs, nothing of the rest of the band.

mine doesn't.. anyway, i'm convinced too that we'll get something before or at the iheartradio gig. there is no way this is a sort of one-off show. not their crowd, not their preferred media entity. we'll get one (or more) new songs, but the question is when. there was a lot of noise around today/tomorrow, but not a peep from the band so far..

ah, thanks. there's no saying what they'll do based on what they did last time around. we'll see.

anyone remember how far ahead coldplay posted that gif from midnight before they released the song (on a sunday midnight if i remember correctly)?

no news yet.. but just think. in 5 weeks we'll have at least one new song, an intro to the theme through a live gig, new clothes, etc. i for one can't wait.

not too long ago i dreamt that i was helping chris come up with the setlist for a huge festival gig. we were both very happy with it when we finished it. but only then i realized that we hadn't included any of the big hits, all were album tracks and b-sided :lol: so i knew that chris was going to change the setlist and woke up all sad. wish i could remember the setlist.

that's why he says "hope nobody got injured" at the end of the song. he was at least by the end aware that it could have been a major problem :lol: for me that does not change anything. mainly because it was something very spontaneous and it showed the kind of frontman that he is, to certain people's surprise.

yeah, that sound relief moment is one of my all time favs too. not only was it a spur-of-the-moment, uniting thing, but also extremely dangerous if you think about it. good thing that this was down under :lol: if it had been in a place where people are a little more excitable/passionate about live experiences, chris would have been lucky come out of it with the cloths on his back :lol: anyway, i read that the security were miffed about this and that chris spent the afternoon (before the coldplay show that night) sick throwing up backstage.

all i'll say is, ask yourselves whether the chance of knowing some possible song titles slightly earlier than we'll know through official announcement is worth it? although i understand the enthusiasm :) we are all impatient.
