And another random thought, they should wear more often their normal clothes. Like, when they're doing radio shows etc. and keep the "uniforms" just for live concerts and award shows. It's nice that they're doing the "Steve Jobs thing" but it's kinda boring and tiresome. Also, I prefer the VIVA clothes, these ones are kinda awkward. Like, they're all tight on Chris and when he gets sweaty it looks like he's nude and he just had sexy-time with Jonny. That just sucks. :rolleyes: *grasps for fangirl backlash*

I'm too lazy to search for the right thread where it was posted, but Coldplay put the CB Brits live version on iTunes and all the profits are going to the Brits charity. They should totally do the same with AKA What A Life. I've listened to it more than CB, it's better than the studio version. I haven't seen it, maybe it's also available. I wonder how other "real rockstars" look at CP during this era. :D They're, like, playing roles, they've adopted these teen characters and MX is like a fantasy...

I think it's lame to compare albums by songs paired up merely according to their track numbers. It's completely random and you get uneven groups, some with a lot of "strong" songs and others with weaker ones. I suggest ranking songs from every album by awarding 1-11 points and then comparing songs from the lowest ranked to the highest. Also, the EP should not be here. Why sould it be considered and not the pre-Parachutes EPs? VLV should be evened to 11 songs by promoting one song to a standalone track (I suggest Reign Of Love) and replacing LIT with LIT II. Two lowest rated songs from X&Y should be cut off. Or automatically disqualifying the bonus track and probably The Hardest Part since it's widely considered to be the weakest. What do you think about my suggestions? I think that THAT would be the ultimate tournament. ;)

I'm glad you do. I had a similar change of heart as soon as I heard the album. I didn't care much for the singles and CB and HLH made me fall in love with MX. Also, I agree with the male Ellen. Do tell us more...

Hurts Like Kevin. :nod: I'm not comparing actual songs, just demonstrating the confusion that arose after "the big hit". The following singles did very very poorly. I wasn't a huge fan back then so I don't know if it was their fault (if they were reluctant to chose and promote a single and messed it up) or the world simply didn't like any of the following VIVA era songs. :| Lets hope things work out for CB and it at least matches the success of previous MX singles. But in the end, it doesn't really matter. I'm only looking forward to new videos and maybe an EP.

Resolving to pyrotechnics in concerts is usually associated with poor quality of the actual performance, but I think they did great. They weren't nervous like they usually are on TV shows and the pyrotechnics go great with the sparkly glowing-in-the-dark song in question. :nice:
