X&Y was their lowest point in a critics point of view, they got bashed by almost everyone :( But with VLV as Kingzilla (sorry i don't know your name) said they reputation got up, no one expected a band like coldplay to do such a change, same goes with MX.

I think Major Minus as a nice production, where you can hear all the instruments but also all the effects that they put and the ambient they create with all those effects I think Don't Let It Break Your Heart, Paradise, ETIAW and PoC are the over-produced ones, you can't hear a thing

Will aswell, i have this video interview from 2000 with Chris and him and the interviewer asks Will why their music is special/good and Will says: "'cause is not over produced, it's not slick, it has good melodies, good tunes and no bullshit"
