Now that I have overcome my initial shock. Here are some thoughts about the video: - It has nothing to do with the song, but maybe this was intentional. When I first read the song lyrics, I had tears in my eyes thinking they were such painful & heartbreaking lyrics :teardrop: This video gives the opposite feeling of the song. Perhaps because Chris has already left that dark place & moved to a brighter one. He would want to associate the song with something colorful & funny instead of some painful memories. - A video for his kids to enjoy as some of you have mentioned. It could be a possibility because he doesn't want them to feel bad because of their parents breaking up so he makes it up for them by making them feel special & cared after, featuring them on the record, filming a music video to their taste. - If the previous point is correct, then we will be stuck to such kind of childish videos till his kids grow older (late teens), provided that he doesn't have any more kids & we get to listen to nursery songs :lol: - The video is reminiscent of the Magic video. Same idea, same ending & even same Chris' character; a neglected talented janitor/ a neglected talented magician assistant. Add to this a beautiful actress ( Jessica Lucas is so pretty)who falls in love with him & a happy ending & you get 2 copies of the same video. Even one picture from Magic was used on True love! - The janitor's name is Hugo, the (anything is possible) message. The prism with the 7 rays of light..All could be hints for the new era. This makes me excited, though I can't decipher the codes for this. Remember the ghost doodle at the Atlas lyrics. There might be hidden hints also that we didn't pay notice to. :surprised:

OneRepublic challenged Coldplay : [video=youtube_share;MZElZz26IQM] & actually this video is good because it really advertises the real cause & encourages people to donate. I never complained about the disease or the donations for it. I disliked that some celebrities took it like they are advertising only themselves & their friends.

Yeah, that might happen unfortunately :( Of course the others would not agree to appear in such video :lol: They are probably having the time of their lives making fun at Chris :lol:

this is even worse than the Shakira video :sick: I even regret pressing play the video :\ It is getting pretty ridiculous too :dozey: as if it were a trend not a charity thing!

I always sceptical when it comes to these things. Questions like how much money they were aiming at in the 1st place or Are we sure the money is going to benefit the real cause or be used in publicity & cocktail parties..or maybe goes into the pockets of the organizers. I am probably just over pessimistic, but where exactly will the 15+ millions go?

that Shakira video made me cringe :/ Am I the only one to think this is a stupid idea? I know it is for raising awareness, but there is something wrong with this idea :confused: too much publicity & videos, but how much money has been really raised?

ًWhen will this music video be released again? :confused: I vaguely remember Chris saying something about a new outfit he would use on the iHeart gig, maybe they are waiting till they film that part from the gig & use it in the video as they did in Paradise music video. I don't have a good feeling about this video, but it can't be worse than Charlie Brown or POC, right? :uhoh2:

^ I only remember that Chris when asked about Jonny in the Zane Lowe interview, he said that Jonny got mad at him once! & told him that "I am tired of your b********" phrase. I don't recall Jonny ever saying anything bad to/ about Chris in interviews!

I dreamt that Coldplay have lost all the awards they were nominated for Ghost Stories because of Adele :shocked2::angry: When do these awards nominations get announced? Anyone knows?

It could be true but then we will be stuck with the sight of those earrings for a long time, until his daughter grows up or loses interest in earrings :blank: :wacky:

Well, as much as I hate those earrings, if that is the only change he has gone through after all the fame & fortune, then I can never complain. He could have let his fame get through him & become an arrogant ill-mannered person, but he is still the humble generous guy as ever who works hard & tries to make people happy. :heart: Also someone told me a story (I can't confirm it myself) that he put on those earrings when his daughter was about to get her ears pierced to put earrings, so he went with her & did the same thing to reduce her anxiety & to share something with her (father-daughter doing a thing together).
