I like this style. I think it would look great on Coldplay.

I wasn't going to reply in this thread again because I thought it reached a dead end, but this particular phrase made me quite annoyed. Reilly has said a lot of things I wanted to say (thanks to him) & in a much better way than I would. I just wanted to add that the arguement about "you're lucky because of what you have so don't complain" is also used in the so called 3rd world countries I live in , these are the same countries that you refer to as worse places for women to live. So yes here, when a woman complains of injustice, she is faced with the words: "what else do you want more than what you already have? Be thankful that you can work/get to learn/ not beaten up/ not buried alive as a baby like the habit in the dark ages" Practising human rights such as the right to vote, work as you mentioned shouldn't be considered as a consequence of good luck. As if it is the norm to be treated aggressively & with discrimination. This is the problem worldwide, the rights women get to practise at certain parts of it get to be considered gifts that they should be grateful for, & should be put under the test at all times. If one sees a woman driving badly, it's because she is a woman driver. If you should go to a physician, it has to be a male one because female physicians are less competent. If a woman is a bad cook, then that's the consequences of leaving your natural habitat (home) to go out & try to work a man's work. So yes, maybe the discrimination against women in the 1st world countries is less than other parts in the world, but that's because bad is better than worse, worse is better than worst. Still far from good, far from right, & people should only aspire for a better world/ future not settle for their little accomplishments thinking that they are lucky. Hope I made myself clear.

I think the notes from Prospekt (phil) before LP4 were very interesting. They included the song names & all but didn't spoil the album (at least for me). Maybe the problem with MX was the band performing many of its songs on many concerts & festivals months before its release! Fans were already familiar with the tunes & deciphering the lyrics, so there were no surprises at the end. I would love if Phil started writing similar notes again near the release of the next album. They were so much better than the random tweets & the R#42 teasing blogs.

The Stockholm syndrome! that's the word I've been trying to find. I didn't mean to imply that I am suffering that much. I talk about the society in general, though I admit feeling higly insecure walking on the streets these days. My parents didn't implant the idea of me being a wife & a mother as the most important thing in a woman's life. I was brought up with the idea that I should study, get high grades, go to a good college & find a successful career. That's why I never cared about feminine things. I don't put on makeup as I don't understand why should I bother wasting my time changing my eyelids or lips colour. I can never wear high heels because I would fall and break my neck in no time. I prefer to wear trousers because they are more practical & comfortable than skirts. Most importantly I don't feel the urgent need to become a wife & a mother. That's why I get a lot of criticism from everyone & they make me think that I am insane or in the least foolish. I think that all I want for people to treat each others as persons, not judged by their gender. I forgot to write in my previous post that one of the worst concepts is that working women are the reason for men's unemployment, thus if all women stayed at home, all men should be able to work, earn good salaries, provide for their families & we all shall live happily ever after!!!

Can they really afford to take that long to make an album? Remember when the word "hiatus" appeared when they were touring Australia & fans got a panic attack! The Oracle had to deny it later. I just hope that they make an album when they have enough creativitity & enthusiasm whether it takes a month or a year. Not to push some songs & get over with it because they have to keep fans interested & buying new records to pay their crew bill. I still have a nagging feeling about the previous era, only 15 songs worth releasing! None of them spectacular.

Please bear with my terrible English. I am not usually good with expressing my thoughts in none other my native language. I have to say that I feel bad about being a female, I hate that feeling & I hate to admit it. I come from an eastern 3rd world country. In our culture, women are usually treated as inferior beings, roles inclusive to be a wife & a mother. I honestly don't know where these societal concepts came from because they are not justifiable by any means. I don't want to you to draw a stereotypical image now, because I ( as an example) don't live in a tent or follow these concepts, this applies to lots of other females. There is no contradiction here, because these concepts hide at times but they come back at numerous others to prove that are so far from treated as human beings. Imagine that being a dream that some people die without realizing it. To tell you the truth, I think the only way to be treated in a good way & have a decent quality of life here is to have either money or power, add good looks for women ( it helps at times) so as not to drift away from the topic,I think that females also play a role in that prespective ( these are not the usual it's all the women's fault) here are some random thoughts/questions from my personal experience - women here seem to prefer having a male boss at work! they say women as bosses are not as effecient as men!! they say that they will be jealous at other women & stuff like that. - Women barely vote for other women for public positions! Again, a man is thought to be more efficient. - Advertising things using super sexy model girls dancing is a very successful means to get attention to your product, whether it is a car, a hair product, or a song. - Actresses should all be pretty, talent aside. Looks always come first. - Women don't defend other women being harrassed. Why would we expect men to defend them? You mentioned giving excuses to rapists. Sadly some women give those excuses too, blaming it all on the girl way to dress. Even if the girl is fully clothed, they would say: why did she go out in the first place? - It's very strange for a girl to remain single. Girls can only be of any use when they are married with kids. Other than that they are considered abnormal. People even get suspicious about a girl's delayed marriage & say there has to be something wrong with her! Men are never judged this way. I could go on foerever but I think you get the point. Sorry for the dismal post.

I don't think that can ever happen. The other band members have their own lives & commitments, not to mention their studio crew. Not everyone will move to another continent just because Chris happens to spend his time there. They are not part of his luggage :angry: I think that this can only delay the new album, which might be a good thing. Apart from that, I have a silly question: As far as I know, the band deal with their record label was for 5 studio albums. Do we know if they renewed that contract? or for what label will the next album be released?

3 questions/ remarks: I can't view youtube videos on the site, all that appears is a white screen & the audio. I have to go to the direct youtube link to view it properly. I read some comments on that article that made me feel quite uncomfortable :\ I don't get why is when you love & support something, you have to be aggressive about anything else? That was an online poll, Coldplay have tweeted about it & they have about 10 million followers that if only 10% of them voted, the results shouldn't be shocking or in need of that overreaction! I may not be satisfied with the results. I wished other albums to be at high rank, but I wouldn't insult the winners or their fans like that :annoyed:

I like the idea, but wouldn't it be more sincere if the letters were sent via normal mail. I am not sure the photos or scans would be as good. Perhaps I am just old fashioned.

I think the boys are well aware of what their fans say about them in fan forums, even if they don't check them themselves. I think the Oracle must have got already some questions about Buckin, but chose not to answer them. The same goes with Anchorman, he knows everything. But ofcourse they won't mention it, they are already using it as a part of the show & to create the mental image they want fans to know them by. Anyways, I was expecting an April's fool today..Have they forgotten?

I can see that the colour of hyperlinks is not different from ordinary text which is a bit confusing Also, are there no gender or flag under the members' username in this layout?
