Hi! And thank you, I really appreciate that. Yes, I would say that he does have a big range. While there are some crazy 5-octave-range singers out there, 3 octaves is very impressive -- but it's really not the range that matters as much as the singing itself. Also, technically he's got a two octave, two note range because unfortunately, most people don't count falsetto as being actually part of a singer's range -- that's why the (-G5) is in parentheses. I still think it's great. He's got three usable octaves that he can sing in, doesn't matter whether it's falsetto or not. Good falsetto is more important than crappy full voice, and he's good with both!

Hi guys, I'm the maker of this video :P thanks for all the nice comments! Actually I concluded that, after listening to it several times, it is Chris's vocals blended with Emily Bart-Smith's. But I could be wrong, please, feel free to correct me if I am, haha. I'd also like to add - I did leave out a few notable songs because I suck. There is another E5 in Lovers In Japan (Osaka Sun Mix) in the "whoooooo"s after the first chorus, and there are some really low notes in Christmas Lights. I forgot to put LIJ in, and I didn't include CL because I had a lot of trouble figure out just what note it was. I read that it was an E2 on another site, and if that's true, that's his lowest note to date -- but as I'm a girl (and a mezzo soprano) I can't go anywhere near that low. ed - the high note in Proof is a B4 I believe, so it was high enough to make it into the video but I already had three examples of a B4 that he's sung and I tried not to exceed three because I thought people might get bored, lol.

I actually started listening to CP because I heard Lost+ playing in a gym class. I kept asking everyone who sang the song (though I was pretty sure it was Coldplay and Jay-Z), and nobody knew what song it was so I looked up "coldplay jay-z" when I got home and here I am today... I also heard ETIAW last summer when I went to a county fair. Unfortunately some local folk band started playing over it in a nearby tent, I was so pissed off, lol.

It seems really scary for the first time, but trust me - it's really not! It might help if you take a nap, if you can, that way you won't worry. But I agree about bringing gum, if your ear pops it does hurt, so better safe than sorry.
