Exactly what we have talked about before in this thread. I wonder if that takes anything away from how great it will look (i'm relatively sure it will). We have all seen huge stadiums being lit up with xylobands and are used to amazing lasers during clocks. Those things make a show extra special and produce an amazing atmosphere. This time, for the biggest show of them all, we don't have that. Not sure what to expect.

I think more likely: Thursday/Friday 28th/29th: Tour announcement Week after SB: Tickets on sale If the tickets go on sale before the super bowl the shows will probably be sold out by the time the game takes place and the whole promo for the tour and spark demand for tickets thing would be for nothing (in a way).

Have you recognized that the background colors are the same as on the balloon? We have already seen 3. I guess one or two more to go. Won't be too long until we hear an announcement. Sent via Tapatalk

The balloon is clearly moving from left to right. It will probably take another 2 or 3 days for it to clear the picture. That would mean announcement on friday? Would make sense. :bliss:

According to the coldplay tour page there are tickets available again for all dates. Even for the wembley and manchester dates that said "Sold Out". Maybe they are preparing the site to launch the US dates. Sent via Tapatalk

What about smaller baseball stadiums? I can see them playing at Rogers Centre in Toronto instead of the Air Canada Center. It's obviously somewhat difficult to find suitable dates because the baseball season is in full swing in Jul-Sep all around the US. I'm playing around with the idea of attending a concert or two in north america if the dates fit my calender. Any advive on where to go? Toronto will probably be on top of my list followed by Boston and New York. Simply because flights to the east coast are usually the least expensive from europe. And they are probably great cities to visit in the summer month.

Will it spark demand? Yes, very likely! Will the prices go up? Hopefully not. Tickets are already expensive enough. Wouldn't be very fan friendly to add another 10% or so.

Saw Jim Jefferies at Heineken Music Hall on friday and with the stadium next door i could only imagine how it will feel being back there in 6 months for the concert. :D Sent via Tapatalk

Ouh, good point. Game time is something like 3:30 pm local San Francisco time? So halftime should be at around 5 - 5:15 pm. Should indeed still be daylight.

True. They had the xylobands ready for the show in london a few weeks ago but weren't giving them out to people. Maybe they had some problems back then.

Is it confirmed that they are using xylobands for the SB halftime? I think thats unlikely. A debut is more likely in a small setting than on the biggest stage on the planet. If something goes wrong the whole world sees it and it's pretty embarrassing.

I'm ok with that as well. I've seen Warning Sign during the MX tour, too. Not a must this time around. Anything old and classy is fine.

I'm ok with it as long as they are playing it during the stadium tour.

I wonder how many people on here will see the super bowl for the very first time. Most of them probably don't even know what game they are playing :D Anyway, i'm starting to look forward to it even though i wasn't a big fan of the idea at first. Also really looking forward to the game. Gonna be a great night. Think i'm gonna be sitting in the sportsbar wearing my GS Tour shirt that night. EDIT: And since they will probably announce North-America tour dates around the date of the game i'm looking forward to early february even more. Playing around with the idea of going to a gig in the US or Canada if everything fits my schedule and i can combine it with a vacation. Sent via Tapatalk
