  1. Absence makes the heart grow fonder; take a break from them for a while and come back. I "rediscovered" them while on the beach in Ocean City Maryland. It brought me back to Coldplay after being kind of "meh" about them for a few years. I now love them and haven't really stopped. I think it's very healthy to fall in and out of "love" with bands. I had a period last year where all I would listen to was Coldplay - they were all that was on my iPod for maybe 3 or 4 months. I did get out of that phase, but I still listen to them daily at least.
  2. I'd be up for it; I still have a lot of fabric paint!
  3. Just looked it up; he won for Best Solo British Male and British Breakout of the Year :D
  4. They just recorded in Montreal. It has to come out before the tour is over. It just has to!
  5. Someone recorded it! I found it and put it on my iTunes, made an album, and went all fangirl and made artwork for it. I can't believe it! I see the concert when I close my eyes :nice: Now I'm listening to Violet Hill. Jonny just went all guitar-hero. Love it!
  6. My friend pointed out the Coldplay nod in Drunk. I didn't realize it because I honestly didn't like the song very much. But that sealed the deal for me :) I actually "found" Ed during the BRITS when I tuned in for Coldplay. He just struck me as such an organic artist. There were tons of flashier performers that night but he was just so memorable for his stark stage and beautiful music. Less is more sometimes. Of course, Coldplay has an excuse to be flashy in my book ;)
  7. Good song  I'm currently listening to my concert - well, the August 3rd one :dazzled:. The Scientist is on and we're singing along.
  8. I'm in love with Eddie :dazzled: I'm seeing him live in September! He's coming to NYC. The concert sold out very fast :P My favorite song by him is definitely Lego House. I love UNI too though, just because I can sing the rap perfectly at this point!
  9. Sorry about that! Didn't see it :embarrassed: I can sing UNI too! :P Now to the ed sheeran thread!
  10. Is anyone here an Ed Sheeran fan? He's my favorite, next to Coldplay of course. Florence + the Machine is a close third :dazzled:. I'm seeing him in September too!
  11. Just piping in here...haha. I'm Christian - Catholic even - and I'm not homophobic. My church itself is as well as my town, but I'm not. :\
  12. The fact that the concert I went to is over makes me sad! : ( I do know that I'm going the next time they tour or come back to the NJ/NY area. I love them too much not to, and I'll sit in the nosebleeds if I have to. Don't give up on your dream! Save up for your concert or ask for it for Christmas/birthday etc. My tickets were a combo Christmas/Birthday gift. :)

You sound like me too! I've got an MX shrine in my bedroom ;) Welcome to Coldplaying MollyXyloto!
  14. I took all the confetti I got from Friday's concert, sorted out any torn pieces, and pressed the rest in a flower presser. Seriously, I have more than I know what to do with...feel free to PM me if you'd like any! They're nice and flat :P
  15. In My Place! I've been pressing confetti all day and it's just stuck in my head.
  16. Ohhh, that would be cool. Unlikely, but really cool!
  17. When you see a Roadie with a camera on stage at a Coldplay show and know he's taking the nightly panorama
  18. To make it even worse, this was my first concert period...like the first time I ever weathered the presale, made concert attire, trucked out to an arena and had a blast with a band. So yeah, it's pretty rough for me now!
  19. Music - VLV, I think it was much more original and each track was unique and crucial to the album in their own way. Plus, no track from MX can replicate the energy that Viva La Vida's chant produces live. Live- MX. I'm not a very good judge at this one, I didn't see them live during VLV. I saw the MTV Unplugged concert from Japan (?) and liked that, but the MX concert I saw (and the recordings from Glastonbury and Madrid) just get me so excited in a way I can't explain... Clothes- MX, all the way. I love that one can create Mylo Xyloto shirts in any which way, yet they still tie in to MX. Artwork - MX. I love the colors and the limitless style. I also love the way that the artwork can be easily transmitted to the stage through the piano and the walkway/wall. So I suppose MX over VLV, though I honestly love them both in their own way.
  20. Welcome Emily! :D I'm in the same boat atm, I saw them LAST NIGHT and I'm wishing I was still there! Anyway, welcome to Coldplaying!
  21. I also uploaded a snippet of In My Place, specifically where confetti is released! Again, sorry for the unsteady hand. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_MF3XiEvvE]Coldplay - In My Place Confetti - Live From East Rutherford, NJ - YouTube[/ame]
  22. I have a bunch of confetti from the August 3rd concert! Security let me go down and get some. PM me if you'd like, I have all the shapes in every color! :D
