When you are thinking about The Scientist and you heard it from the other room...I thought it was my mum listening to it and I ran in the other room but actually was something like a commercial on TV and I just moaned "Why did they have to use them for everything now? Stop it!"

My mum is a fan and she listened to them very loud all the time...they are really not very near to the kind of music I usually listen to so I just ignored them for a lot of time but I really liked X&Y. One day I watched a fan vid about Daniel Faraday [LOST] and the soundtrack was The Scientist...It was the first time that I actually payed attention to the words and I liked them so much that I searched to some X&Y songs because I wanted to listen to the lyrics...after a couple of them I was like "Fuck. Chris Martin stalks me." and I was totally in love with them.
