  1. I have two standing tickets for this day I can't use :( does anyone want them? Please message me
  2. Ok I'm desperate now. I will give £50 -free money people- to anyone who will swap tickets with me. I have two green standing/unreserved collectors tickets for the 16th at Wembley which I payed about £150 for. Please can someone swap me for two tickets on the 18th please please please. It won't be any trouble for you, I promise and If you can't help please, at least help me find someone who can. I'm just gonna be so devastated if I can't go.
  3. GUYS I NEED HELP. I just bought two tickets for standing/unreserved green area collected tickets on the 16th of june at Wembley. but found out I two exams that day . I am broke af right now but I will give £40 to anyone who will swap with standing tickets with me for the 18th of june at Wembley instead. And if no one can swap then I need to sell them, but I would rather sell them to a coldplay fan then some random person on Ebay.

  5. Really glad he's getting to know jennifer though. She is like the nicest, most modest celebrity ever (apart from Chris himself). they're both a couple of dorks tbh.
  6. I just went on seatwave to see coldplay at the royal albert hall tickets. they were £1500-£1800. Its disgusting.
  7. I don't know if this is already a thread but.. So iv'e been looking up individual coldplay songs on wikipedia lately, and I've noticed that my very favourite coldplay songs have been produced by jon hopkins The fact is, that beautiful, ethereal, other worldly synth and effects isn't actually coldplay at all. Its people like brian eno, and jon hopkins, and paul epworth etc... Don't get me wrong, it's still coldplay who write the melodies, lyrics, guitars and drums. But i've been looking up their music lately and been blown away by the pure talent. For example: [video=youtube;bazz7A_tD0g] Sound familiar? its the music on live 2012 also. coldplay sampled this song for the escapist. All of Jon Hopkin's music is breath taking. I urge you all to listen to him, especially the monsters soundtrack. And of course theres this... https://www.youtube.com/user/SKYOfficial?v=tSJrRIMIdY4 Brian Eno, the legend he is If you know any other wonderful songs by other coldplay producers, put them on this thread so I can download them all thanks ;)
  8. Tis the best song on there. However, it's not theirs. They sampled it from Jon Hopkins [video=youtube;bazz7A_tD0g] They had his permission though, they also worked with him on the start of violet hill and midnight Its also the song we though might be Akio or whatever. On live 2012
  9. Viva/prospek's march>Ghost Stories>Parachutes/Pre-parachutes>AROBTTH>MX>X&Y Although I think most of ghost stories is designed to be background music. Maybe not a sky full of stars, but the rest. Its all quite atmospheric. Not like the attention grabbing MX or Viva. But I think (disregarding the EDm and poppy tracks) that it's most like parachutes. I love the ambient synth direction coldplay are going. But it needed more edgy rock like in Viva.
  10. I quite like the xx sound, just throwing that out there. I don't think coldplay could ever go too punky/rocky. they aren't big headed enough. I never want coldplay to loose their modesty. Its the thing I like most about them personality wise.
  11. I don't like AM I don't like the arctic monkeys I hope coldplay stay clear of that genre But thats my opinion. I think coldplay create more sophisticated (Deep/Epic/Etherial) music than that
  12. COLDPLAY DEATH METAL URGH kill me now
  13. AMBIENT POST DUSTUP ALL THE WAY. Lets face it, coldplay's signature sound is that beautiful effects that they put behind their songs. The background synth and reverb that creates a very atmospheric effect. Classic coldplay. Thats why people didn't like magic until half way through, when the synth kicked in. If they were to take that further, go all the way, they would become ambient. They already have done many ambient songs like Midnight, The Escapist and O part2/reprise. And (in my opinion) they are the best coldplay songs. Coldplay are already masters of ambience, (which probably has something to do with Brian Eno because he is the great lord of ambience). And post-dubstep, or Chillstep, well thats just heavier ambience really. Its would be so far for coldplay to go from post-rock to ambient to Chillstep. But people don't get it confused with real dupstep, the angry/industrial stuff. Coldplay would be awful at that. This is the kind of think I mean.. [video=youtube;PAvdqEsobaw] This genre is defiantly not a dead end for coldplay. But in the end, i guess they should do what makes them happy, not what their fans want.
  14. I like the 'and i don't and i don't and i don't and i don't' bit. Very catchy, good melody writing from Chris there. Notice that he harmonises himself on the 'and i' bit but not the 'don't' creating some extremely catchy, off-beat stuff. I also like where he does some falsetto voice acrobatics on the 'ma-ma maaagic' bit. Apart from those, Chris' singing and lyrics throughout the song are very average, not amazing. I love the intro through, its my favourite part! I think it's guy on the guitar, doing that off beat funky thaang! It's amazing. And a bit of Eno coming though too, with that odd little sound effect, that sounds a bit like a train stopping in a station. That screech kinda puts you on edge for the rest of the song, ready to move. Brian's done well there. I'm not sure if I like the piano, it kinda clashes, too soft and flowing. I think they should have kept it that awesome edgy, funky guitar. Oh well. Will is pretty good, but I would have liked to have seen more from him, he doesn't really deviate from that beat often enough.
  15. Definitely the best so far, I love the old master crosshatching, like Michelangelo. It's also quite mechanical looking, a bit steampunk-ish. It gives off some awesome vibes.
