I do like Magic a lot but I must say I simply love Midnight! The whole package is fantastic, music, voices, video, lyrics, you name it. I am also a big fan of Sigur Ros, so it was great to hear Coldplay making a meditative song in that genre. Why do you love Midnight? :) Do you think we´ll hear more songs like Midnight in Ghost Stories or is this a one-off experiment? Also I don´t get it how a lot of reviewers said the lyrics were intelligible. I understood nearly every word after two listens. Do we perhaps speak Coldplayian more fluently than non-Coldplay fans? hehe

The question that has been puzzeling me for the past couple of days is: how does Midnight fit in with the whole ''Lost love/break-up'' theme? All songs on the (regular) Ghost Stories version are about love and breaking up. But Midnight isn't? So why did they put this on the album? It would have made sense if they had put it on the Deluxe version as a bonus track. Theme wise it just doesn't fit among the rest of the songs I think. Don't get me wrong, I love the song and I'm happy it's on the album :)

Hi Everyone!, I'm trying to made a fan made mashup based on "The Lightclub" a remix by Coldplay that performs during their new World Tour Music of The Spheres, I had like 90% done but I need the Vocals of Midnight, I was trying to remove instruments with many apps, pc programs and online tools but I don't have success doing that. Also I am not an expert in this field so I don't know how to get it. Any help will be apprecieted Thanks!

Seems Coldplay has commissioned Kygo for an official Midnight remix. Don't think it is out yet. As it happens, Diplo wasn’t the only BBC Radio host to help Kygo out. After hearing his releases, Coldplay’s Chris Martin reached out to Pete Tong to get in touch with Kygo’s Golden Hare management group. As Kygo exclusively revealed to Billboard, he was commissioned to officially remix Coldplay’s latest single “Midnight” soon after. “’Midnight’ is pretty different from the other tracks I’ve remixed, so it was challenging to work with it,” he says. “I tried to make it my own and give it my own style and melody.” link p.s. have no idea who Kygo is.

Midnight 7-inch to be released for Record Store Day 20 March 2014 5:22 pm Limited vinyl release featuring exclusive etching on reverse Good evening. To celebrate this year's Record Store Day in the UK and US on Saturday, 19 April, the band is releasing a limited 7-inch vinyl edition of the new song Midnight, from the upcoming Ghost Stories album. The one-sided vinyl will feature an original etching on its reverse by Mila Fürstová, who has also created the new album's artwork. The 7-inch will also be available from independent record shops in Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Switzerland …

Midnight (album version) is available (US later like above) but its not letting me download it because of the pre-order which i'm guessing will be fixed later but should be ok if you haven't pre-ordered Ghost Stories! For those who have downloaded it, what do you think? As I mentioned on the main site, straight away its up there with the Thin White Duke remix of Talk, so brilliant and over 8 mins long :D :D

an EP of Midnight remixes, including the Giorgio Moroder and Jon Hopkins remixes, was just put up on Beatport HERE!

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight_%28Coldplay_song%29#Composition) says, that another track by Hopkins, called "The Fourth State II" also is sampled in Midnight. I searched for it online, but couldn't find the song :(. Can anyone PLEASE post a Link to buy or listen to it? that would be GREAT !!!:) :gs:

Having watched the Ghost Stories TV special, how is this performed live? I understand what Guy and Johnny are doing but what exactly is Will doing on the reactable?

Am I the only one who hates the long intro and would rather it start around the time the vocals start around 22 secs?

So I was listening to the purchased album version of Midnight, and if you listen really carefully , in the first split second of the song you can hear the ending of a different note which I assume is from True Love. Does anybody else hear this?

From the "Midnight" 7" Vinyl that will be released on April 19, 2014 for Record Store Day: Official artwork by Mila Fürstová, and the third Fürstová artwork to be unveiled during the Ghost Stories era! What do you guys think? To be very honest, i'm starting to absolutely adore her work. This particular piece is probably my favorite, second to the "Magic" artwork.

Midnight is already number 3 on U.S. iTunes after only 3 hours-- Midnight could surprise everyone as being big hit! First with Magic, now midnight rising in the charts, and then ASFOS in a couple weeks, Coldplay may have delivered a three song knockout punch What do you think?

I'm not sure about everyone else but the original music video for Midnight just about ruined the entire song for me. When I listened to the track without watching the video I started to actually gain an appreciation for the song. It was shortly after that I decided to create my own version of the music video.
