Sorry, I'm not quite sure if this is the right place to post this, if not, please move to the correct area :) I'm an 18 year-old bassist who is very keen on finding a guitar player who can be minimalist and melodic in their playing. I'm in a band right now but the music we create is very garage/classic rock and I really want to make music that is much more in the style of U2 or Coldplay, in that the guitar is used to create ambient, sweeping sounds as opposed to a knock your teeth out rock and roll sound. I predict Moses will be on the next album. They're a band that's still in the stage where they don't have a huge amount of material for a setlist live, so they'll sort of combine album tracks, b-sides, and give you previews of new stuff they've written to get you excited for the next album.

I mean Coldplay basslines. At the moment I don't have a tab for I Ran Away, I just worked it out myself. What kind of bass do you play?

Adam Clayton. Bassist for U2 and the man who inspired me, without him I never would have dreamed of playing bass. His style is simple yet driving and powerful, a true genius in my eyes.
