ColdplayFilm - MX Live DVD
Clean Version? I was just looking on iTunes and there appears to be 2 versions of the audio CD for sale. The only difference seems to be that HLH, MM, and GPASUYF don't have the explicit logo beside them. Specifically, the explicit in the preview for GPASUYF is hidden. Is Coldplay giving clean versions of the DVD and CD too? :)

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
We are turning their heads out.... I know! Why would it not be on Live 2012? It was a very important song- that's when the balls would fall on the crowd! And there has never been a live version released... Very sad. Considering its Live Version tops its Original. :stunned:

ColdplayFilm - MX Live DVD
ETIAW and the Known Set Locations THat would have been a rip-off (at least for Japanese fans), since the Glastonbury version of ETIAW was a bonus track on the Japanese Release of MX. Is this what can we safely say (non-bonus) track wise so far? MX/HLH- ? IMP- ? MM- ? Yellow- Paris (EPIX preview) VH- ? GPASUYF- ? POC- Paris (Rihanna was live) UIF- ? VLV- Glastonbury (Original Trailer) CB- *Paris (Xperia Preview) Paradise- Paris? (given they shot it twice there) UATW- ? Clocks- Montreal (EPIX preview) FY- ? ETIAW- Paris (Original Trailer) Bonus Tracks: TS- Paris (Xperia Preview) DLIBYH- Paris (Xperia Preview)

LRLRL Strange... I just downloaded it a few weeks ago. They must have just taken it down in lieu of Live 2012. :/. Getting a hard copy in the Mailing Thread above would probably be the best current option...

:). Thanks! It's an interesting prospect though... Although given the rumour of the LA tour...

Coldplay to Take 2013 Off
I did not see this posted, but Coldplay is going to take 2013 off. Chris will be moving to Los Angeles, and needs a year to settle. Production for LP6 will start in early 2014. I'm not sure how to link on a mobile device, but there are many links reporting it. :\. It makes sense, given how muh they've been on the road... *edit: this is rumours. Sorry for jumping the gun everyone... :/

Seriously.. What did we do to deserve Coldplay?
To be honest this is very touching... Thank you so much for your stories. I listen to Fix You every night before I go to sleep, and I think baout all that song means for me and the emotion I feel through myself every time I hear it. I just graduated High School, and when we had like a dry party after the ceremony. We returned to the school at like 4 am. Everyone else left fast, leaving me in front of the school alone. I took out my iPod touch and activated the speaker, and played Warning Sign. I have never felt emotion like that in my life. It made me realize how precious my life was around me, and just how great my life really is. Every song has meaning for me, and I can't believe God has given us such a band. Certainly their music will last for eternity- it's exactly what you would think Heaven's non-hymn soundtrack would be. Every song is uplifting, and just perfect for the soul. They are really the perfect band.

North American Second Leg?
Sorry Sorry about that... Just updated the list with those modifications. :P

Band Song Preferences
I was just wondering how many opinions the band has on their own songs. Like I heard Chris apparently said that he didn't like "Speed of Sound" and "Warning Sign" but loved "A Whisper", while Guy doesn't like "Shiver"? A) Are these opinions true? B) Are there any others out there that the fans know of?

North American Second Leg?
Thanks! :). It took me an hour to crunch those dates.. I totally agree... And how could they miss the biggest US city of all? It doesn't add up. :stunned: Canada wants more Coldplay! I really want them to do an exclusively Canadian leg; we get ripped off with so many minor cities as opposed to all the metropolis' in the States. We love them!!! Not to mention they shot the Twisted Logic Tour "movie" and the Mylo Xylotour movie in Toronto and Montreal respectively! On the VLVT, they went to all those minor US cities, so why can't they do the same for Canada? :P I totally missed San Fran! I'm sorry... I just remembered them tweeting from San Fran so I assumed they played there! :o. So you think it could be this: Either MX Tour ends late-2012 and LP6 in late 2013/early 2014 with the next tour starting in early 2014. OR MX Tour ends late 2013 and LP6 in late 2014/early 2015 with the next tour starting in early 2015. I like the first one better. :P. All possibilities- great thinking!

North American Second Leg?
Hope Interesting... One would think that LA and Boston would be hit twice on any upcoming leg. I would hope that they also come back to Western Canada, but that doesn't seem likely given their past history. I can hope though. :)

North American Second Leg?
Likelihood Here is the list of major NA cities they have not played on this tour: USA New York Las Vegas Denver St. Louis Phoenix/Glendale Oklahoma City Nashville Columbus San Francisco* Hartford Kansas City Orlando Raleigh Baltimore New Orleans Cincinatti Omaha San Diego Salt Lake City Albuquerque Pittsburgh Indianapolis Milwaukee Cleveland Anaheim CANADA Ottawa Winnipeg -Realistically, Coldplay's tours have lasted about 2 years (Twisted Logic Tour = 678 days; Viva La Vida Tour = 634 days). -As of now we've had an MX tour that's lasted 288 days as of today (8/8/12). If we presume the MX tour ends on 11/21/12 (date of final Australia gig), that takes us to 393- still about 250 days short of the other tours. -Assuming we add 50 days for Asia/Latin America (about the time it took on the Viva La Vida Tour), we are missing about 200 days. It's a given they are going here in 2013, they just need to announce it. -I have extreme doubts that Coldplay would miss so many major US cities, and unless the next album is scheduled a lot earlier than we believe (2014), there should be another NA leg. It makes mathematical sense. However, Coldplay has never been one to follow logic (eg. "Twisted Logic" tour with "Twisted Logic" never performed), so we'll just have to see.

Your Coldplay Dream Setlist
My Dream Setlist I hate bumping an old thread, but I was about to make a similar one... Anyways, I figure since on the MX tour they average about 20 songs, that my setlist would be similar. It's more of a normal setlist than an MX tour one, and one I hope that most fans can relate to and can be very realistic at the same time. I also have included the special effects for each song. All songs would include different coloured spotlights and flashing lights. MAIN STAGE 1. Square One- Their best opening song IMO- and it gives representation to X & Y, which the MX tour has lacked dearly. Special effects: Countdown Feature (from Twisted Logic Tour). 2. In My Place- Something to get the crowd going sing-a-long wise. A favourite of Coldplay's to play second. Special effects: Confetti Cannons. 3. Lovers in Japan- Great fast pace to carry the energy from IMP forward. Special effects: Large Coloured Balls. 4. The Scientist- At around song 4, we're looking for a pace change, so why not one of the band's greatest slow songs? Plus, it is the undisputed #1 sing-a-long. Special effects: None. 5. Clocks- The usual encore song would be an excellect (and natural) transition out of The Scientist and would catch diehard fans off-guard. Special effects: Laser light show. 6. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall- I think that it would work great as a mid-range song, and it would be the first showing for the Xylobands! Special effects: Xylobands. 7. Lost!- The end of ETIAW features a beating drum, while Lost! starts with it. A transition that makes sense. Special effects: Ends with a repeat of the first stanza of Lost? B-STAGE 8. Politik- A 4th AROBTTH song in the first 8 seems a little much, but it works out very well as an opener on the B-Stage. Special effects: Strobe Light on beat with the drums. Lots of strobe. 9. Charlie Brown- Another great song for the fast-pace of the concert so far, and an audience favourite. Special effects: Xylobands. 10. Swallowed in the Sea: Probably one of the most popular songs that wasn't a single, and the audience could probably use the rest after all the jumping in Charlie Brown. Special effects: Projected Lyrics (From Twisted Logic Tour). MAIN STAGE 11. Viva La Vida- The heavy-hitter. The song that will really bring the energy to a high. Plus, the crowd vocals are always a memory. Special features: Revolving spotlights. 12. Speed of Sound - Another song that will carry the energy of the previous really well. Special features: Lasers (not as many as Clocks). 13. Violet Hill- The last of the major VLVODAAHF songs, it is another song that is perfect for the sing-a-long. Special features: None. 14. God Put a Smile Upon Your Face- 2012 version. The last really high energy rock-ish style song as the main setlist starts to end. Special features: Excess flashing lights and Xylobands. B-STAGE 15. Paradise: As the band returns to the B-Stage, Paradise kicks off the final series of 3 songs with great elegance. Special features: Xylobands. 16. Warning Sign- Another crowd favourite, and a great song to transition between the faster-pace of Paradise and the final, much slower song. Special features: None. 17. Life is for Living- Finally- some Parachutes! A great closer for the main part of the show. Special features: Indoor fireworks at the end of the song. ENCORE (MAIN STAGE) 18. Yellow- Here it is, the first hit. An amazing song, that will continue to maintain the piano intro to ease the audience in. Special features: Piano intro, yellow spotlights, only the yellow Xylobands flash. 19. Strawberry Swing- One of Coldplay's best live songs, and a great transition out of Yellow. Special features: One section of the audience's Xylobands flash in sync with the clapping/drumming- changing sections every 30 seconds, and ending with all Xylobands flashing. 20. Fix You- The grand finale. The best closer the band has, as all the emotion of the concert comes out with the one, the only. Fix You. Special features: Swinging Light (From Twisted Logic Tour).

Guaranteed Live Songs?
Yeah! Awesome! Although it occured to me after my post that "In My Place" should be on the list also... Oh I pray the Xylobands remain on for future tours... Can you imagine a Coldplay Concert without them anymore? :shocked2:

Guaranteed Live Songs?
At future Coldplay Concerts (on the MX Tour and all future tours), which songs have earned permanent spots on the setlists? I'm thinking... Yellow Clocks The Scientist God Put A Smile Upon Your Face (Revised Live Version) Fix You Viva La Vida Violet Hill Paradise Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall Charlie Brown I'm thinking those ten would be on future tours for sure ;what others would be though- or am I thinking wrong on some of them?

Xylobands: Would You Pay Extra to Keep Them at Future Concerts?
Faulty Mathematics I really have no idea how much they cost- I checked out the Xyloband website, and there was no details on cost. Everyone seems to think he was joking, so I'm feeling like the joke's on me a little bit. :p. You're probably right- and as others previously stated, since they are buying in bulk they'd probably get a good deal...
