I don't get why people get mad about this kind of stuff. The Beatles back in the days were "more famous than Jesus" and they knew it. They made a lot of "commercial" songs (mostly by Paul) like Obladì Obladà but no one gives a flying shit. There is no such thing as "commercial" or "non commercial", there is just good music or shitty music. I Saw Her Standing There is a great example of a commercial song which is unbelievably good.
