  1. I figured that if they had it in the Netherlands, they'd also have it in Belgium already. So I went to like 4 record stores (big chains as well as independent, smaller ones) this morning, but none had it yet. If you're a die-hard Coldplayfan, The Netherlands is one of the greatest countries you can live in :)
  2. It's amazing indeed, awesome, jaw-dropping, or simply, as Chris would say: f**king great. Based on just this one live recording, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's their best song to date, but it definitely has the potential to be so. I can only imagine how powerful it'll sound on the album...
  3. Graag gedaan ;) Hopelijk beginnen ze dan effectief om dat uur.
  4. Jette, for you it's at 00h30
  5. You're welcome, my fellow parachutist.
  6. I'll reassure you: it IS Chris' humor
  7. Message to Ontarians: if you're not going to the studios, PLEASE PLEASE PLSEASE record it from your radio :) . I'm quite sure I'm speaking for everyone here. This is a matter of paramount importance  .
  8. first thing to cross my mind here is " not real" where'd you get that?
  9. "Wereld Winkel" (literally translated: World Shop) are Oxfam stores. That should explain...
  10. June 30 2002: Rock Werchter, Belgium (festival) June 29 2003: Rock Werchter, Belgium (festival) April 6 2005: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
  11. Guessed right. It's a Belgian beer :wink3: gets people who aren't Belgian pissed pretty fast :P
  12. Jezus why hasn't any bootleg surfaced yet (except from wirez's video's)??? It's been more than 36 hours since they played.
  13. Thanks :)
  14. It appears you have to be registered on that site. Anyone care to copy-paste? :D btw, California should wake up now and provide us with some recordings WAKE UP
  15. Geel replied to sarah**'s topic in Coldplay
    In My Day ?
  16. I've heard it in Amsterdam. It was .... ... simply amazing. At first listen I liked it better than some other new songs they played in Amsterdam (like X&Y and A Message). Hope that helps.
  17. I hope so for you guys.
  18. btw some lyrics I remember from 'Til Kingdom Come: "for you I'd wait, for you I'd wait til kingdom come" "oh I don't know what I've become" pretty much all I remember at this point :dozey: , it's a bit cliché and all, but Chris has that unique talent to express himself very sincerely using phrases that balance on the border of cliché
  19. X&Y is not 8 minutes long (maybe it will be on the album, who knows, they might've played an abridged version of it yesterday), and as to wether it's a masterpiece, I can't judge on that yet. Low is simply amazing. It's very different from anything on AROBTTH, so it's very hard to compare, definitely at this moment. But I can tell you I went completely nuts on that one. Guy's parts were indeed awesome, as were those of all other 3 band members. Btw I've never seen Johnny so confident on stage before. And Chris' moves have only gotten crazier. It's hard to estimate how many people there were, I'm guessing some 300. And the colors of the wristband we got aren't really representative in that pic. You should see it in real life, it's the same shades as on the cover.
  20. Envy me, I was there :wink3: First off, I'll quote Chris: the concert was "f*cking great". I'm not even gonna try to describe how good it actually was. I'll never forget april 6th 2005. The new songs (X&Y, Low, Til kingdom come) were amazing. Til kingdom come sounds like See You Seen meets Johny Cash. 100% acoustic. Chris f*cked up at one point, though, but it's a beautiful song. Personally I found X&Y the least impressive of the 3. But it's obviously a song which has to grow on you. Low was incredible. Very up-tempo, amazing riffs. Watch out for this one, it'll blow you over at first listen and will only get better every time you'll listen to it, no doubt in my mind about that. If you want to know more, just ask, I'll do my best to answer. btw there was about 5 of us waiting at the tourbus outside after the gig. They came in pairs, first it was Guy and Chris. Guy seemed a bit timid, believe it or not. And Chris was incredibly friendly. There were these bodyguards who kept urging him to step inside the van, but he took his time to sign everything we trust into his hands and to pose for pictures with all of us.
  21. We weren't allowed to take any recording material (not even a mobile phone) inside, they were very (VERY) strict on that matter. So I reckon the chances of someone who recorded it are pretty slim....
  22. I thought he sings 'the only chance that you get ...' instead of 'every chance...'. Not sure thuogh.
  23. Just yesterday I read on nme.com that Chris is still tinkering over some songs so this can't be final if you ask me. And I thought Talk wasn't going to be on the album ...
