F!@#^%@#*$()CKER. Okay, first off thanks Justine, and second and more important of all, I spent all day today looking for them. I couldn't find them. Apparently they were spotted at Sassafrazz by a friend's sibling who's a waiter there on Saturday night. Jay-Z was hosting a party for Caribana this weekend, and Gwyneth and Chris were there....hmmmmm... I wish I had learned that piece of info earlier kardinal. Thanks though....I guess tomorrow's still time.

Wait, I was under the impression that a network HAD to ask a band to use their song for their promos and what not. Like ABC wanted to use Yellow for their stuff, they had to ask. Either way, I think they make a very fine distinction between selling products and doing promotional work for like channels and shows etc. Like they don't want to tie their songs into say an ad selling shoes, but they're fine with putting their song with say 'House' or something. I'm not really sure how that works in their minds, but hey.

Yeah, but Suhay does have a point in regards to ACC being close to the Royal York. Still, I think the Four Seasons is a good bet when it comes to trying to find them, lol. Oh man, I'm retarted.

You think? I was under the impression that NOBODY stays at the Royal York. Like it's usually just the Queen and that's it, and everyone else stays at random places all over downtown, but usually around Yorkville...?

Okay so this entire thing about tracking Coldplay came as a result of a discussion with my friend. Specifically it had to deal with us trying to get Coldplay to sign our stuff and somehow get us into the Toronto concert, so we could see them in all their glory and everyhting etc etc. I guess this sounds ridiculous and kind of scary, but I was just wondering really, does anyone know where they stayed in Toronto last time they performed back in mid-May or have an idea of where they'd be staying this time? Any help would be appreciated so much!!!! We just want to somehow say hi and meet them yet totally not be stalkerish....haha (the complete antithesis of each other eh?) The band should be in Toronto by now to start for their tour on Tuesday night, so we're trying to find them and stuff. Thanks.

I can say this without hesitation that A Whisper is, and always will be their worst released song. I'm not a big fan of X&Y either, but I'm sure it'll grow. A Whisper though....three years and it still hasn't improved.

That's what confused me as well. Judging from the past measures that occured with the album, I assumed that the security for this one would be equally tough, but no she had a copy of it in her hand and delivered it to somebody (can't say who, she might get in trouble). But yeah, hopefully they're similar because I really like that live version of World Turns Upside Down!

I dunno, they're all pretty solid albums. I know that Lost Sides is currently going for 3/30 at HMV but you probably want an actual album and not one filled with b-sides and remixes......I'd say The Last Broadcast or Some Cities actually. Those two are the most consistently good, but if There Goes The Fear is the song to your life right now, maybe TLB would be a good choice. But make sure you check out the other ones, each album has amazing shit on it. Otherwise, I found my copy of The Last Broadcast at a used CD store, I'm sure you could peruse those in your area and somehow get a copy of it like that. I got Some Cities at Future Shop for $14.99 I think when it was on sale (HMV has it for $18.99 I think) but I've been too cheap to buy Lost Souls right now because the lowest I've seen it is like $21.99 and that violates my $15 max rule...I dunno, I'd suggest used CD stores, or barring that, eBay. I was talking to my friend last night who just started working at Quad Recording Studios in NYC. When she first told me that she was working there about a week ago, I was really excited because she told me that that was where Coldplay did some recording for X&Y, and I was seriously hoping for some random extra swag that she might be able to get for me, but it's not like she could go and steal the Master copies of stuff or anything, so I kind of forgot about it and just hoped for the best. Anyways, she comes online last night and informs me that on Monday they were working on a mix of a new Coldplay b-side called "The World Has Turned". Stupified, I go like "WHAT!?" haha and I immediately ask her if that's one of the b-sides to the Fix You single. She isn't sure because she doesn't really like Coldplay all that much nor does she really care about them (damn her, I need to take over her position!). Upon further questioning, she tells me that it's fairly upbeat, and so I'm asking like "Low" kind of upbeat, so New Order-ish or more like Shiver kind of upbeat, but she doesn't know. It's average length, around 4 minutes or so. At one point in time she actually had a copy of it in her hand, but she DIDN'T MAKE A COPY OF IT! (GRR). Anyways, it was getting late then, so I told her to make a copy of it somehow, but I don't know if that's possible (wouldn't want to get her into trouble). It was only later when I was in my room, lying there on my bed with the lights turned off that I thought about "The World Has Turned" and I immediately thought "that sounds like World Turned Upside Down!!! So I rush out of my room and contact her again and send her the song asking her to compare. She hasn't given me a response yet, but I'll hear from her soon I hope. But yeah, this is possibly maybe b-side number two for the Fix You single? Sorry for getting out of hand, I just had to express my excitement...
