I've moved past that stage. I hope you will too. Other than that, no, I think he sucks because he constantly wins and ruins the competitive spirit of Jeopardy. I used to watch it obsessively but since they implemented that ridiculous rule of not having to retire after five games, then it's just watching him run the entire show. Kinda defeats the purpose of having constantly new minds coming in to play and compete.

Because Canada and the US have traditionally been good allies and partners. It's only recently hit rocky roads (well really, it's only rocky whenever there's a Republican president, Democrat presidents however, always are welcome). It's tradition that the first visit out of the country by an American president is to go to Canada and speak to the House of Commons, which President Bush didn't do. Eh. He's only visiting now, four years after he's been "elected", so that's why it's kind of like a big thing. As well, President Bush is trying to push his whole "we must bring the war to the terrorists" schpiel, and he's kind of using Canada as a testing ground to see how it goes before he brings it the European community, which have even more significant reservations.

I've been listening to Embrace's Out Of Nothing album on repeat for like the last few hours. Currently it's Someday. Heh.

Damien's gonna be performing tonight on Jay Leno, so if you get NBC, make sure to tune in! The show begins at 11:35 EST, but the music performers always perform around 12:30 or so....

I DESPISE "A Whisper". I mean I can still listen to the entire thing on the album without skipping it over, but I really rather prefer not to, so I usually skip it. So that's my nominee for worst Coldplay song...everything else is decent, though "Easy to Please" and "I bloom blaum" i'm not that a big of a fan of either.... Green Eyes and Everything's Not Lost are amazing songs. Pshh! ;)

Just a quick little question. ;) On track 5, entitled "In My Place (Live at MTV)", where is this MTV anyways? Like it's not an actual location, and the people singing along are PRETTY god damned rabid. So I guess my question is where was this recorded (aside from MTV, not very helpful) and when was this? I saw him when he was in Toronto back in April or so. The Frames were the openers (WHO WERE AMAZING BTW) but oh Damien. Damien Damien Damien. What an act! Amazing, it was so much more intense than I had thought that that music could be. Wow, he was really good. Anyways, I waited for him after the concert, with a friend of mine, and we stood there for like two hours just for him to come out. He eventually did (apparently he was hungry...) but yeah, I got an autograph and everything. Such a sweet guy. My friend had to leave because her bus stopped running after a certain time, so I told him the story and he drew on her CD a picture of her running after the bus going "Wait for me!!!" and the bus pulling away. I was I guess obviously shivering from the cold, and so he just drew me shivering in the cold. :) The top left is Lisa, the top right is Vyvienne and the bottom is Damien! AND NO, I do not go to York!

The sheer ridiculousness of "Who's your daddy? I'm your daddy" totally threw me off with that song, and by extension the entire band. Nonetheless, I hear that they're really good live (really intense), but I don't know anything more than that song. Oh, and they're from Boston. :)

Sometimes it sucks being in Canada. I want a gigantic poster of Glen. And regular subscription to Hot Press...(damn the $223 subscription to North America, do I look like I'm made of gold!?) sigh. What do you guys think of Burn The Maps though? I haven't heard it yet, since they're not selling it here in Canada, and I can't find it on ebay or amazon or what not. :( (coincidentally, I'm now listening to Angel at My Table...)

Fuck. How do people manage to get that many people to play in those kind of festivals anyways? Anyways, if I could go (ie had the financial resources), I'd totally go. Funny how a lot of those musicians/band members aren't even from Ireland.
