Exactly, that was sort of a follow up, from the post above mine. 80's and 90's weren't too different from what we have today, yet movies from those eras are much more original.Last action hero, anyone? Than again it could be that movie makers today thinks it's enough simply to copy old conceps with a slightly different story, to make a big buck. I don't want to sound pessimistic, not too long ago, we had a matrix, and maybe we'll have movie like that one soon enough, but still...

I thought Frou Frou kicked asses, until I heard some of her solo work on "Speak for Yourself".It's like totally mesmerizing.She's amazing woman, started her own record label, did a kick ass record, and still is cheerful and quirky.

I was being sarcastic with that remark. My point is that in the 00's there's a massive lack of creativity, or maybe it's just a fear of being unprofitable with a film that's "original".That is, a film where I'm not able to predict how the plot's going to unfold, based on the first 10-20 minutes. The last film I saw was F&F:Tokyo Drift, and I could tell, right from the start, there's this trouble maker, who'll start drifting like a total noob, only to become a master in less than a week, he'll get the babe, and defeat his main adversary.I didn't go to see that film, because of some intellectual desire, I went because of skimpy dresses gals, and fast cars,but still person would appreciate some sort of twist in a plot.

Either that, or it could be, that it's trendy to create films based on comics, books and games; X-men ,x2, x3, Daredevil, Supermen returns, Hulk, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, V for Vendetta, Lord of The Rings, Narnia,Harry Potter,etc...
