verse prose ballad sonnet meredithian sonnet (16 not 14 lines) can't remember anymore, sonnets are usually for courtly love themes or something like that but if you look at Tony Harrison's work he uses it to display views and emotions, usually in meredithian form though, and also consistent use of verse :cool: :) What are the other conventions though?
