yes there can, aren't there studies that prove it is in your genes if you are homosexual, just like how you are left or right handed is pre-determined by your genetic make up. Don't know, it's the whole 'nature v nurture' thing. Personally I think science is used to make understanding stuff like this easier :rolleyes: Sorry, I'm just a sociologist at heart, and I try to look at the effects society itself has on people's behaviour rather than science :) :P i am studying sociology and i'm sure most sociologys you would talk to would say that homosexuals are born that way rather than conditioned to be that way.
