  1. I'm from Newcastle Upon Tyne, England! My favourite song is Charlie Brown. Great project! :)
  2. And Chris had to go off stage mid concert because he had a sudden idea for a song!!!
  3. I've adjusted my set, provided they do the sensible thing and make at least some of the LP7 shows 2 hours long, this would be my dream setlist. Main Stage 1. LP7 song 2. Paradise 3. Lovers In Japan 4. LP7 Song 5. Yellow 6. Violet Hill / GPASUYF 7. LP7 song 8. The Scientist B Stage 9. Magic 10. Atlas 11. Warning Sign Main Stage 12. LP7 song 13. Viva La Vida 14. Ink 15. True Love 16. ETIAW C Stage 17. LP7 song 18. Speed of Sound 19. Oceans Main Stage 20. A Sky Full of Stars 21. Clocks 22. Charlie Brown 23. Midnight 24. Life is For Living 25. LP7 Song
  4. Some of the Ghost Stories shows were finished off with Fix You. :)
  5. Personally, I hope they make the shows at least 1 hour 45 minutes, if not 2 hours. Additionally, I really hope they finally give Fix You it's well earned rest. Main Stage 1. LP7 song 2. Paradise 3. Lovers In Japan 4. LP7 Song 5. Yellow 6. Violet Hill / GPASUYF 7. LP7 song 8. The Scientist B Stage 9. Magic 10. Lost? 11. Warning Sign Main Stage 12. LP7 song 13. Viva La Vida 14. Ink 15. True Love 16. Charlie Brown C Stage 17. LP7 song 18. Speed of Sound 19. Oceans Main Stage 20. A Sky Full of Stars 21. Clocks 22. ETIAW 23. LP7 song 24. Midnight
  6. I caught myself thinking earlier about what songs I'd love to see return on the LP7 tour. I mean, obviously we don't know what kind of feel the album gives off song-wise (rockier? More mellow? Stripped back? Electronic?) but I just think there's some hidden gems out there that dropping from the setlist was a mistake. If I had to make a top 5: 1) Glass of Water - one of the best examples of Coldplay's 'explosive chorus' songs, this song just has so much energy. And it's from the Viva era, which makes it even better. :laugh3: 2) Yes - particularly the extended version with the amazing ending. I think this song would have fitted in with the Ghost Stories era perfectly, while not being too downbeat. Alas, the Ghost Stories your turned into a sort of Ghost Stories material + greatest hits tour. :( 3) Hurts Like Heaven - I know it's unusual for openers to come back into the set on a later tour (I'm looking at you, Politik), and that MX/Hurts Like Heaven kind of defined what the whole album was about and set the scene for 90 minutes of colourful mayhem during the live shows, but worked properly into the setlist I could see this song becoming a main part of the LP7 shows - what with it's apparently boundless energy and chances for crowd participation. However, unless the xylobands come back, I don't see much chance of this song making the cut, unfortunately (unless it's chosen as the song the band want to make acoustic). 4) Strawberry Swing - doesn't really need any explanation. :smug: 5) Swallowed In The Sea - a song that has been on the shelf and rather neglected for many years. In fact, I don't actually recall when it's last live appearance was, but I'm going to guess around 2007. This song, in my opinion, is one of Coldplay's most underrated songs. Period. It just needs to come back because I WANT TO SEE IT LIVE. :( Anybody else have any songs that they hope will return on the next tour?
  7. If all goes to plan I should be going to the Bakery and Beehive in late August!! :D Watch this space... ;)
  8. I think we'll get the LP7 hype starting around the end of this year (think Christmas Lights before the Mylo Campaign), maybe with a new EP including All Your Friends, Ghost Story, O Part 2 and 1 or 2 new songs? Chris DID say they'd be out everywhere in about 6 months in April (So October-November seems plausible). At a guess, I'm gonna say we'll get some early in the year Festival/Small Tour dates at which they can reveal songs, before album release in Early Summer and an arena tour following from that - probably becoming a stadium tour into the winter/2016. Exciting! :D
  9. In the Making of Ghost Stories interview with Fearne Cotton, an original tracklist was shown that revealed that Atlas originally was going to be on Ghost Stories. :wiseguy:
  10. Star Wars Episode VII!!!! *fangirl mode activate*
  11. I realy hope this thread (and ultimately the rest of the forum) becomes more alive again in the near future! also, hi all! :)
  12. Sammy_MX replied to Wilson's topic in Coldplay
The rumours that there's contact between LiveNation and Coldplay, and about the fact that they may headline a festival in the Netherlands in 2015 makes the rumours about a new tour next year more believable for me. And, of course, a new tour would imply a new album, don't you think? :)
  13. Sammy_MX replied to Wilson's topic in Coldplay
Chris' interview with Kevin and Bean has convinced me that LP7/Large Tour in 2015 is perfectly possible, and I really hope it's true! :) He also mentioned that the new song would hopefully be a duet... *prays for nothing like PoC*
  14. Woo!! OMG Thankyou!! :D
  15. Looking forward to today's questions!! Hopefully I can win one :laugh3:
