  1. Mine was super friendly, she did say I needed to pay with a Citi ThankYou card which I luckily have a Premier. She said they had about 40 tickets for East Rutherford total (or 40 pairs?) and the location will be excellent. I think I bought one of the last ones. Super excited for this weekend, I plan on also walking up and buying a ticket for the Sunday show. I'd REALLY like to not spend the whole weekend alone in NYC so if you are a Coldplayer going solo and want to hang before/after the shows let me know!
  2. These are some really random cities. I'm not sure how there's no Seattle, Atlanta, Florida, DC, Nashville, or Carolina coverage. All big concert markets. Buffalo? Tulsa? Pretty cool though, I'm all for it! I didn't buy tickets for the stadium shows in anticipation of arena dates. Rest assured we will see multiple Canadian dates before long. That's one of Coldplay's strongest and most lively touring markets.
  3. I know that most of you guys won't want to do this, but if you wait till the last minute and walk up to the venue box office to buy tickets, you'll get amazing seats from all the band, venue, promoter, and sponsor returns. I'm doing this for all the shows. Trust me, it works. Plus you save $25-30 in service fees.
  4. I'm 100% sure this will happen. Places like DC, Montreal, Toronto, Atlanta, and Seattle all will get dates. They cleverly put the stadium shows on sale first to ensure they will sell. Although I really don't think two nights at the stadiums was a good idea... At $175 face value, tickets are simply priced too high to ensure the stadiums get filled.
  5. Typically yes but tickets will have to be picked up at will call. In North America, Ticketmaster doesn't ship anywhere but the US and Canada.
  6. I just really don't see this being a GA field. America doesn't get many GA stadium shows outside of U2. There is more money to be made with a seated floor.. it generates higher ticket prices in the form of premium sections, platinum seats, VIP, etc.
  7. Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. But Ed Sheeran did his fan presale with the same code for everyone and it was widely shared across social media. That sucked. But other artists keep it unique, so we'll see. Regardless I bet dates get released by Friday.
  8. I wonder if the codes will be unique or it will be the same code for everyone
  9. I hope so! I've been waiting years for this onsale
  10. I see another scenario here of an announcement Friday 1/29, presales beginning next week, and the onsales on Monday following the Super Bowl. Bet on either an Amex or Citi presale in addition to the fan...
  11. I bet Dallas happens in April. They'll be in Mexico City so it makes logistical sense.
  12. I 100% agree. I don't think they could fill NFL stadiums in America.
  13. It's not possible to play stadiums in North America beyond September - it gets too cold at night in most of the country. Stadium tours here typically start in June/July and wrap up by September.
  14. There's a chance tickets will go on sale the week after the super bowl. Happens a lot, like Beyonce in 2013
  15. Right? I agree. But I saw Taylor Swift in a baseball stadium and it was pretty good. Beyonce, One Direction, Zac Brown Band, Billy Joel, and Paul McCartney have all come through DC in recent years and played the baseball park.
  16. I'm thinking July - September and I'm thinking it will be a combination of baseball parks, football stadiums, and arenas. They could do a couple shows in April/May if they really wanted to.
  17. Observations regarding North America: Methinks American dates won't be announced until after Thanksgiving, likely early-mid December before Christmas like we saw for MX. Tours don't go on sale around holidays in America. There is a gap in the schedule from April 16 - May 24. A little too early weather-wise to be playing stadiums in the United States. BUT, the band's equipment will be in Mexico City on April 16 and it's only a short trip up to the states. I could see a couple shows, maybe in arenas, during that time. Muse just wrapped up their South America and Mexico tour yesterday and will be in Texas on December 1. The next possibility is a stadium (baseball and football) tour July - September. This is when most North American stadium tours take place and very similar to the routing of the Jay-Z/Beyonce tour in 2014, One Direction in 2015, Taylor Swift's 1989 tour stadium leg, etc. etc. I think this is the most likely and will be Coldplay's first stadium tour in America. No source on this, just well-researched speculation ;)
  18. Finally won my tickets today! I had to e-mail Global Citizen complaining that I hadn't been receiving their e-mails, and they replied today with a code! These pope visits are ridiculous. He's in DC next week the same night I'm going to the Ed Sheeran concert. It's basically shutting down the city. Gotta love the pope!
  19. Still looking for a ticket guys. I'm willing to cover the cost of a hotel room as compensation if you have an extra. If you can't use your code, I'm willing to buy it. PM me!
  20. I sent you a PM regarding both of your offers!
  21. Agreed. Christa may be right, if any hints are dropped, it would be for a future tour outside of the Ghost Stories era.
