Least favourite song from each album?
Shiver A Whisper (Note, I actually like this song too. Just not as much as the rest of AROBTTH) Twisted Logic Yes Don't Let It Break Your Heart (The mixing on this song and MX as a whole is just awful. It's way too loud and over-produced. Just yuck) From what I've heard so far, ASFOS. Unless True Love and Ink turn out to not be for me, then ASFOS will stay here.

Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
Ugh..... Just hurry up and leak already (I'm still gonna buy it)

"O" is gonna be my favorite track!
I'm worried that since the Fly On part is so short that the rest of O won't be as good or too different. From my understanding he has his daughter and her friend on the track? That can't be too good, lol. I have no problem with him putting his kid on the track, but if they're singing then hell no.

"O" is gonna be my favorite track!
It doesn't really make much sense, but I think from my understanding from what Chris said is that Fly On is the beginning part and O is towards the end. Kind of weird I guess.

"O" is gonna be my favorite track!
Who would've known joseki would predict the future. I think most would agree here that this song could be the best on the album and possibly their best closer. Really a beautiful song. Really excited to hear the rest of it.

A Sky Full Of Stars!! (Out now - See first post)
+ 4 Goodbye. I hate ASFOS with a passion, but I'm not giving up on a band just because of 1 damn song. That's ridiculous. The whole "I miss old Coldplay. They're dead to me now." Is just ridiculous. Have they just been ignoring the rest of the album? O is what they're looking for. People fail to realize that they need at least one huge pop song to market their album. Trust me, I hate the song too, but the band didn't go anywhere. Ghost Stories is full of songs much better than this. When in doubt, blame Avicii.

C'mon guys. What all do you have left? Rest of O, True Love and Ink? Mine as well just listen to them if they leak. We already heard 3/4ths of the album already.

Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
If the album leaks 16 days before it comes out officially that would be awful for album sales. I would love to hear the album early just like everyone else, but this feels a bit too soon. I know myself and most of us here will still buy the album regardless of it leaking, but most won't. I really don't know what to think.

Ink is gonna be my favourite track!
Well, hopefully it won't be as over-produced and ear-bleeding. Considering Ghost Stories is on a 6/7 non over-produced EDM track record (Sorry I just hate EDM), I think it'll be a pretty safe bet that Ink could end up a gem on the album like Fly On.

REASD PLS ASFOS
10/10 Topic.

A Sky Full Of Stars!! (Out now - See first post)
This is going to feel so out of place next to songs like Oceans and O. An upbeat radio friendly EDM song, then BAM right after it a beautiful yet sad, quiet song played on a piano. I dislike this song a lot more than I like it, I rather have it not exist. Yes, that's right. I'd take only 8 tracks if it meant this song didn't exist. It's so out of tune with the rest of the album. Yea, I know they need that upbeat mainstream pop song to market the album, but people are going to wonder why the rest of the album is the polar opposite after listening to it. Yes, I know I can skip it and just not listen to it, my problem is that I don't like seeing Coldplay touch that genre. If they're going to make another pop song don't going for f-ing EDM, just make another Magic or Clocks. It's like the more I listen to it the more I hate it. Worst song on the album for me.

YES! This is what the song should of been all along. As it currently stands they mine as well just changed the song to "Avicii Ft Chris Martin"

Avicii ruined this song, imo. This song does not need synths at all. Really, Coldplay should just stay away from that crap. I hope Avicii never touches another Coldplay song again. Live will definitely be better. I just hope they put out another studio version of this song without the synths. Maybe if they do an EP they can put that on there. Kind of like how Lovers in Japan had several versions. *Fingers crossed*

This song is badly in need of a remix. No synths, just guitars and pianos. It would save this song.

Relax, lol. "O" will save us. It's the saving grace of this album.

Okay, I'll be honest. I originally didn't like the live performance or the 30 snippet, but this is a LOT better. And this is coming from someone who hates EDM. It'll definitely grow on me and I would definitely rate it higher then I did before. I still think O will be the highlight track for me though. However, don't think for a second that I love this song, I still don't really think it's good. It's better than it was before, but it's still too generic for me. Edit: I agree this song was definitely over hyped though. It's ok, but it's nowhere near Viva La Vida, it's not even as good as Paradise, imo. I also don't think this will be as huge as people are making it out to be. Will it be successful, absolutely. The next Viva La Vida? F no, not even close.#1 on the charts? Maybe not. Then again, most people like these kinds of songs, but it's not really for me. Not a bad song, I just think it would've been so much better without the synths. Would've been great with just the guitar and piano.

True Love
Wow, I really like it. I'm really starting to like the lyrics for Ghost Stories, they're so simple yet so effective. I'm really curious as to what this will sound like. This song now has my full interests. Ugh, May 16th/19th needs to come a lot sooner.

The Show-Coldplay-How-Much-We-Love-X&Y project
Nicholas United States When X&Y came out it was when I first starting to listen to Coldplay, and I've been a fan ever sense. Sure I heard some of their hits before then like Clocks and Yellow, but this album made me a true fan. X&Y is not only my favorite Coldplay album, but my favorite album, period. I think it's a masterpiece from beginning to end. It might be the only album I've ever listened to where I love every single song on it. From slow, sweet songs like Fix You, Piano/Synthesiser heavy Speed of Sound, to acoustic Til Kingdom Come, it all creates such a unique album that holds up extremely well. An album I will always come back to.

Rank the Ghost Stories songs!
A Sky Full of Stars 5/10 - I really want to like this track, I really do, but god do I hate EDM and Avicii. I really do not like this style of Coldplay songs. Yet this song will end up getting millions of views on Youtube and conquering the charts. Which I don't care if it does and I want Coldplay to have a successful hit, it's just that I know I'm going to end up sick of hearing it everywhere when I don't even like in the first place. Always In My Head 6/10 - I'm not really a fan of this song at all. It's not a bad song by any means, it just doesn't really do anything for me. Another's Arms 8/10 - The most underrated track on the album so far. I really like it. It has a really catchy hook. Magic 7.5/10 - This song is hard to rate for me, because while I think it's a good song, I don't find anything particularly exciting about it. At the same time though, it doesn't sound bad at all. Your typical feel-good piano Coldplay song. It's nice, but not special. Midnight 9/10 - At first I wasn't sure what to think of this song, I wasn't really liking the style of it when I first heard it. It was a bit too slow for me, but then I kept on giving it another listen and ended up loving it. I love the mysterious and eerie feeling. A peaceful track to play when I need help sleeping at night. Oceans 6/10 - The most overrated track on the album for me. I've liked every Coldplay album to date, but some of their songs I just don't like and this is one of them. It's extremely slow, even for Coldplay. It never really goes anywhere. While it might be similar in style to Parachutes, I still think even the worst song on that album is still better than this. O 10/10 - I was worried at first that I wasn't going to find that gem that I'll end up loving like I do on every other Coldplay album. 5 or so songs went by and none of them were really clicking with me, none of them was the hit I was looking for. Then we get this 2 minute snippet and I found it. This song is beautiful. Easily the highlight of all the Ghost Stories songs I've heard so far, and there's still another 5 minutes left to this song. I love the sad yet beautiful tone this song has. This is the kind of song I want to hear from them, not the EDM centered songs designed for dance music (Although they do need that one big hit of a song for sales so I'm willing to live with it as long as it means there's only 1 or 2 of them and more songs like O instead) It's easily shaping up to be a contender of one of my favorite Coldplay songs. It's the one song that has built up the hype I'm feeling for this album. If the full song is every bit as beautiful as this preview, then I know it'll become one of my favorites.

"O" is gonna be my favorite track!
After lurking for a while, I finally decided to create an account. Mostly because I wanted to say just how beautiful this song is. I have to say, I honestly didn't really like Oceans or A Sky Full of Stars (Granted I'll reserve full judgement until I hear the studio versions), and I was quite worried about how I would feel about the rest of the unheard tracks. That is, until now. This song completely regained all my love for the sound and style of this album that Oceans and A Sky Full of Stars (I'm just not a fan of EDM, and especially Avicii) didn't fulfill. A 2 minute snippet and it's already shaping up to be one of my favorite Coldplay songs and one of the best songs of this year. You could really feel the emotions from Chris on this track. Not only is it a beautiful song, it's also a sad one. Especially hearing him choke up during the interview, you can tell these new songs mean something to him on a personal level. This is the first song that's ever caused me to tear up, I guess I just related to the song more than any song I've heard in a long while. Simple lyrics, yet so effective. I can't to hear it in full, I hope it's as every bit as beautiful as this preview.
