The popular consensus on here is that O is amongst most people's top three songs on Ghost Stories. I remember, after MX was released, that there was a similar thread regarding Charlie Brown, asking whether it was Coldplay's best-ever song. Charlie Brown is Coldplay at their energetic best, but, for me, it isn't them at their most organic and stripped-back. O, on the other hand, is. I'm not asking whether you think O is better than Charlie Brown, or whether it is THE best song they have ever recorded. But I'm intrigued as to whether people think the song is amongst the best they have ever recorded. For me, it is the "Amsterdam-moment" of Ghost Stories, and is most d…

It's simple, if you are brave enough (whether you are a man or a woman) to admit that you have cried while listening to "O" (Whether it was a tiny tear or a waterfall), then post it here like this: (I'll go first) I cried.

I am compiling an ultimate Coldplaying fan review of Ghost Stories. It will be posted on the main site shortly after the best review for each song on the album is picked, your name will be listed in credit should your review be chosen! Closing date is Monday 26th May Get your writing fingers ready! Good luck! :) You can also vote in the poll too, out of 10 which will be interesting as its usually only when a pre-album single is released.

Listening to the interview tonight the first "song" on the track O is a hidden track called Fly On (O is the last part, recorded with Apple and one of her friends) :) I love it already, even though i only heard it once  Quote from below

on the deluxe edition is O supposed to be shorter than it is on the standard edition because of the inclusion of O Part Two as a bonus track?

Let's see how far I'm off O(Fly On) A flock of birds Harboring/hovering above Just a flock of birds (How I think of love? ) And I always Look up to the sky And before the dawn And still I always Sometimes they (all?) Sometimes they are all gone A flock of birds Harboring above (In a smoke of time?) (Rise?) (Following them up?) Still I always Look up to the sky (Breathe before the dawn?) As they fly away (The minute they arrive?) Next you know they are gone Fly on

This song to me is the most amazing and emotional song Coldplay has ever done and it is by far my favorite. Listening to it over and over again I can't help feeling like that long "ohhhhhhh" towards the end is like Chris Martin's cry for help and realization of what has happened. It is a very emotional part of the song for me. Did anyone else interpret it like this?

Hey people, first of all I'm really sorry if someone saw me post this in the wrong sub-forum, I'm really embarrased for that. Well, so far we've received hidden tracks in three album closers: Parachutes (Life is For Living), X&Y ('Til Kingdom Come), Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends (The Escapist). Well, this song is the album closer, just like those, and according to iTunes it is around 7 minutes long, which imo is too much for only one song. I think it is very possible that we get a hidden track here. What do you think?
