  1. I think on the Mexican side of the wall, there should be murals of landmark places in America that illegal immigrants will never see [emoji5][emoji106] Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app
  2. Black Mirror is one of the best shows ever made. It's an anthology series with 3 seasons (4th coming this fall or winter). Just think modern twilight zone and generally dark themes about technology's consequences. Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app

  4. We purchased nosebleed seats and before the show starts, guest services comes and upgrades our seats to ground left next to the stage!!!! It was an epic night. The exact same thing happened to us! My party of 4 went up to scan our tickets and it said "see box office" so my mom went to go check it out. She comes back and tells us that the seats were changed and that we're closer to the stage! I didn't know closer meant on the field 15 ft from the walkout stage! It was quite the upgrade from back left corner club seats.
  5. For some reason this made me laugh. Comment of the year in my book
  6. My thoughts on the EP: 1. All I Can Think About Is You In terms of instrumentation and song flow, this is one of Coldplay's best songs in existence, but lyrically and vocally, it's pretty underwhelming. The lyrics make zero sense and that vocal effect doesn't match the songs natural instrumentation at all. I honestly ignore Chris entirely on this one. Other than that, fantastic banger. 2. Miracles (Someone Special) This was the one song I was worried about, but now it's one of my favorite songs by them. It has a pretty bouncy beat but has Jonny's glittery funk-style rhythm guitar that isn't covered up by anything. The only weird thing is that the strings stop twice in the beginning for some dumb reason? Big Sean's rapping is clean and uplifting and that chorus is kind of reminiscent of the first Miracles and manages to give me chills thinking what it would be like if they play it live when I see them soon. Very good collaboration. 3. A L I E N S One of Coldplay's best songs ever. This is instrumentation diversity and experimentation at their finest. The beat is very driving and the vast collection of strange synths and sounds work very well alongside natural strings, Jonny's X&Yish riffs, and acoustic guitar. It actually takes me to space. The fact that it's in 5/4 time signature is even better because it just shows that Coldplay is pushing themselves to do new and weird things (the last time they did that, a little album called Viva came out). The end part with Will singing is really cool too. 4. Something Just Like This-Tokyo Remix While the studio version is still underwhelming and uninteresting, this version is backed up by the energy of thousands of Tokyo audience members and the sheer power of Coldplay live. You can almost feel like you're there. Much better than the original studio mix. 5. Hypnotised-EP Mix The addition of chimes is a welcome prelude to another one of Coldplay's best songs. Glorious piano, wailing guitar, soundscape-filling strings, and the first time Chris ques Jonny on his solo with his nickname "J!" in a studio recorded song. Very good ending for a short but well constructed EP. Overall rating: 8/10 Will be purchasing on CD, especially for the cheap $5 Amazon price. Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app
  7. Spiderman: Homecoming-9/10 I'm not a huge Marvel fan, but I saw this while on vacation because I grew up with the old Spiderman movies and loved em as a kid. Fantastic movie in general. New looking suit, great acting, unexpected twists, ingenious villain backstory, and a great ending. I may be a DC man myself but that was actually enjoyable Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app
  8. I love how there was a whole discussion on how Miracles (Someone Special) was recorded when no one will really know unless they ask Big Sean or a Coldplay member. Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app

  11. It's probably just a shorter version. The song is pretty long. Maybe it'll be like a radio edit. Which kinda sucks but if this is going to be their next single, at least it's a good one. Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app

  14. I think it's awesome it's being released on CD and vinyl. They could easily just digitally release it and be done. Also can I make the claim that instrumentally, AICTAIS is one of the best songs they've ever made? Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app
  15. OneRepublic recorded their latest album "Oh My My" entirely while on tour in hotel rooms, buses, and wherever else using their phones and whatever other equipment they had. Of course it was all mastered and mixed back at a studio, but you can record almost anywhere with the right equipment. Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app

  21. Personally during the wait I'm expanding my musical tastes by finding new artists everyday so I'll be genuinely surprised by Coldplay's release Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app
  22. Guessing what any of the songs we haven't heard off the ep is only going to make it more disappointing when we hear it. Everyone expected AHFOD to be dreamy and guitar filled and that's not what you got. Coldplay is constantly changing their sound so trying to guess what a new release will sound like is pointless and will only make it more disappointing when it's released. 23. I think Chris is one of the best lyricists because he's one of the worst. I enjoy listening to lyrics written by masters who create a web of rhymes and metaphors that are obviously incredibly personal to who wrote them but sometimes it's not relatable. Chris's lyrics are so generic I've been able to apply them to any situation in my life. I used Fix You to grieve for the death of a friend and a breakup. That's what I think is special about Coldplay. They are relatable no matter what Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app
  24. How the heck does this band always seem to release something I need in my darkest hour? I owe this band so much love. If I ever meet them, I'm just gonna give em all a wonderhug Sent from my VS986 using Coldplaying mobile app
  25. Speaking on the topic of that remixed version of the AHFOD album (can't remember who exactly made it but cheers to you because I downloaded it and I really enjoy listening to it.). I was thinking what if we could each make our own sort of "Coldplay albums" that reach across the eras and piece together a story that is unique to us. Complete with neat effects and add-ons. Let me clarify with an example Album: Stages of Love I. Anticipation 1. Yellow (added piano intro) 2. Green Eyes 3. Yes (without Chinese Sleep Chant) II. "True" Love 4. What If 5. Magic 6. Army of One (string intro) 7. Reign of Love (extended with synth outro) III. Fear 8. Always In My Head 9. True Love 10. Midnight (extended with added instrumentals) IV. Loss 11. The Scientist (string intro) 12. Fun 13. Kaleidoscope (with full The Guest House poem) V. Acceptance 14. Everglow 15. Fix You (AHFOD Tour version) 16. Up&Up With The Birds (Up&Up and Up With The Birds mashup with a sample of Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground) I hope you guys get what I mean. If not, then oh well, guess it's a just something I think is cool. Which is cool lol. Sent from my VIVO AIR using Coldplaying mobile app
