Literally the most ignorant thing ive heard because when 1D performs live they just sing while a separate group of people do the instruments. Meanwhile Coldplay actually performs their songs almost the same way they were recorded. They even made midnight exciting. That song couldve just been Chris singing while a backstage team did the rest on a laptop but no, Jonny worked the synths/piano, Will did the beat, Guy played bass on a freaking laser harp, and Chris sang over a vocoder like they recorded it.

Alright think about other R&B songs and what theyre about and then look at this one. Its about not being drunk on alcohol or high on drugs, its about being drunk on life and high on love. Its almost like Coldplay is giving other R&B songs a nice slap in the face. Plus its not that electronic. Piano, guitar, strings. The only thing really "fake" is the percussion. I think Coldplay nailed R&B

They have equalizer apps for free. I care about quality music so i download one so i can make any song sound the way that sounds best to my ears because since someone simply mixed it one way for everyone to hear, doesnt mean everyone is going to like it. The magic of equalizers is that i can tune it to my preferences really easily with the push of a button. Its not rocket science

I didn't like how music critics tried to compare Ghost Stories to their other big albums like Viva or MX because the band made it perfectly clear that it was going to be quiet. You have to review it like it is. Also, they said it was a heartbreak album. No, it was an album about using your problems in life to fly away. Its like all the critics stopped at Oceans and started their review. ASFOS is NOT depressing and the same with O. How can acceptance and moving on as the end message make it a heartbreak album? I personally loved the Ghost Stories era. The art, Live 2014 was really cool, and the clothes they wore were really simple like the AROBTTH era. I listen to O every night before i sleep and it really puts u in a positive mood and relaxes u for a good night's sleep. I also see this album as part 1 to the story that AHFOD completes. I listened to Ghost Stories and the album leak right after and it flows very beautifully and basically almost offers a crescendo in happiness and sound.

Up&Up Everyone is complaining about the 2nd solo by Noel being drowned out but all u have to do is use an equalizer to raise the midrange frequencies and this song sounds golden.

I really like that organ. Plus this song reminds me of the song off Imagine Dragons' new album called Hopeless Opus.

Amazing Day is honestly a Coldplay classic in my opinion.

I think its cool that Coldplay have literally done almost every genre at this point. How many other bands have done alternative rock, edm, disco, and even a little hip hop (i dont like xmts but still u gotta give them credit for having the guts to try out such a genre) without temporarily breaking up or losing members? Parachutes: Soft Rock AROBTTH: Rock X&Y: Alternative Rock VLVODAAHF: Alternative Mylo Xyloto: Pop Rock Ghost Stories: Indie Pop (includes ASFOS which is EDM) AHFOD: Pop (includes AOAL which is disco, and XMTS which is hip hop) Who knows whats next? Coldplay still sounds like Coldplay on this new record. Piano, guitar riffs, Chris's falsetto, and cheesy lyrics. Thats Coldplay alright. May sound different, but the boys like their sound. The difference between a Coldplay FAN and a Coldplayer is that a fan will abandon the band if they don't like something. A Coldplayers sticks with the band and supports them even if they don't like something theyve done. Many have left since MX and more since AOAL came out. We all still support the band and we should all remember that when we start fighting over silly things like differing opinions over a song or which album is the best because we're never going to all agree on one thing. Let's just enjoy the fact that we dont have to wait months for AHFOD and if u dont like AHFOD, please feel free to state ur opinion on it here but try to find another thread about a different album that u like so that u can enjoy this forum.
