You know... promising as this is... I have this nagging feeling that the Kirboh discourse has taken over the media to a degree that everyone and everything is being influenced by it... However, if Ken has other better sources (which hopefully is the case) then we are practically confirmed something new in 48 hours!

Well, the rumour was that the name of the album is Fool's Gold, and the poster says 1919. That matches up.

This I think is as sure fire a sign of a release as we will get! (Short of an announcement of course) So if they plan to release the album on Nov 22, then first single about a month before, so 18th and 25th dont look bad guys!

Well... Lets not spiral in either direction yet, I'll say. One thing I expect to happen: them playing on Tidal's show. They normally don't retweet such concerts and especially the fact that the poster specifically says surprise performances, just adds to this. Now, they may or may not play a new song but I choose to believe ( XD ) that they won't resurface together after such a long time without anything new to say. Finally, if they do play a new song, releasing it on Friday is very much up in the air for me... Given that it is supposed to be a surprise performance -- its legitimately possible that they dont release anything. Hence, in conclusion, according to me these are the probabilities: Playing for Tidal (80%) --> Playing new songs given they play on Tidal (80%) --> releasing it this friday given that they intend to play something new (50%) --> Teasing it this week (20-30%) So, yeah. Dunno... but I'm just a little optimistic.

Yeah. You are right... :( I had the exact same feeling this morning -- looked over the tracklist again and was like -- man this is cool! But then the immediate thought was that some stuff is just a little too convenient: dunno how to explain it, but Metamorphosis specially seems like the kind of name everyone will immediately put down on their dream album. :/ hope i'm wrong.

hahah. Thats a very woke way to think about this stuff. But I agree with you completely -- it really is beautiful. Today, the album can be pop, rock, alternative, progressive, acoustic, electronic, oldplay, newplay or whatever you want it to be; but when the first stuff drops, its all decided -- that is it. That's why I guess, frustrating as they are, I like these pre-release times a lot! :D

The song isn't too bad in perspective. I mean, we were expecting something entirely different that is why it hits us so much. If you forget that Los Unidades is Coldplay, and then listen to this song: you will mostly like tap along XD

This. But I actually believe this was more Parlophone's doing than our boys. The guys clearly wanted to disassociate the Coldplay name from this song so that they can separate the two genres but probably Parlophone went like "Huh? How are we gonna sell copies then?", hence the hype (and the unsubtle subtle anagram of COLDPLAY2018 was just too much. :P )
