    All things have ripple effects, and all the circles of connections are tied to one-another. One lever trips another, one gear drives another. So I began to see it all, and it surprises me it's not already common knowledge: Without fair elections and fair campaigns, we get elected officials who do the bidding of the highest bidder (or campaign donor). First the bidders buy favors - they deregulate the systems designed to keep the economy stable and equitable. Then these bidders create a racket, and rig the economy.     So the Lib Dems, Labour and Tories have had their last conferences before the next general election and did anyone make any gains from the past 3 weeks? For me, despite the Lib Dems attempts to make a big stand, I think all 3 parties have made little impact on the opinion polls with Gordon Brown's and David Cameron's speeches being fairly low key, even though that is NOT what Brown wanted. None of the speeches made by the 3 party leaders were headline grabbing of the extent of say Tony Blair's in 2006 and 1996. Usually conference season is the part for the loser to make the gain ahead of spring's general election. Don't think it happened for Gordon Brown and this time…

    hi, im thinking about buying a 5.1 dolby surround system, but i dont know if it nakes a difference in the quality of the sound at all. i thought about watching live dvds, so i think that a surround sound would be fantastic. so i would be very grateful for someone who has experience with a dolby surround system to tell me if the diffenece is worth buying a system for 75€ (~70£).
