We have been compared to Coldplay in the press...which is a huge compliment.

I'm new to the board and I hope this is the place for shameless promotion!

Please check out our website and music, that's all I ask...and if you like it, let us know!

sorry, it isnt, you'll probably be banned when you try to log in again tomorrow, and all your music will be offline, and your band is never going to be famous, all because of you joining random messageboards to promote em. Soon enough you'll know how it feels to FAIL!

oh, best of luck with your band :) <-psycho smiley

Funny, I didn't get this reaction on the one other board I've posted our music on.

I guess you must be one of the greatest Coldplay fans ever, and couldn't possibly listen to anything else. I apologize for invading your "space".

See ya later, fartsucker. :smug:

Fartsucker :stunned:

   Im sooo not gonna listen to your band now your slagging of my bitches

yer thom your now my bitch

Oooops, that guy didn't understand Thom's humour... :/

To Mr. Ten Dollar Outfit:

Yes, this would be the space for shameless self-promotion. Unfortunately, though, you haven't done a single thing yet that would endear yourself to anybody here (and thus get them to listen to your music over the 900 other unheard of bands that are being thrown at us all the time). As a fellow aspiring musician, I sympathize, but as a member of this message board, I feel compelled to point out the following:

1. Your first post here was to promote your band (which suggests that you're obviously more interested in getting hits for your website than in making any friends here).

2. Your second post is snobby, condescending, and insulting to one of the most popular members here. (Granted, he wasn't what you'd call "polite," but you're the one trying to make a sale here, not him).

3. You have yet to post in a thread outside of this one (which reaffirms #1).

So take this how you will, but that's why I'm not going to listen to your band, or most of the other ones spammed here. (I've tried ignoring them, I've tried listening to them and mostly being bored by them, and now I'm trying this). :P

Now I'm getting called condescending. The whole reason I thought to check out a coldplay message board is because my band has been compared to them. Say what you will about that comparison, but I haven't listened closely to their music before. Lately I have, and so naturally the way I announced my arrival to the board was with polite courtesy.

Notice I said "I'm new to the board" so I naturally got offended by someone who makes a veiled threat like "all your music will be offline". I don't care if he's been here forever. The same thing applies on a board as it does in the real world- first impressions are everything. So maybe mine came off as a sales pitch. If you don't want to listen because I called someone a name, fine.

If you don't like the pitches made by bands, ignore them. We naturally go to solicit listeners where we might find people who listen to good music. As for myself- I love checking out new music. I don't care if the band gets famous or not. If someone takes the time to share their music, free of charge, and wants to know what I think...I usually respond. You have obviously become either so rich or so jaded that you don't care anymore. I find your response about how you ignore all of the 900 bands that come on here to be the most "condescending" comment on this thread. :(

Thank you el scorcho. :)

I'm trying to dive into some other threads here, and I will try to catch sarcasm earlier. It was fun being attacked though. No hard feelings and my apologies for name calling.

Peace?
