delay/echo units and loopers, ur thoughts

Featured Replies

hey guys, i was just curious as to whom on here has much experience with delay pedals and looping, i currently dont have a lead guitarist and i mainly play rythm on acoustic, im mainly inspired by the sounds of radiohead, coldplay, U2, jeff buckley and some others but i wonder if any of who had any reccomendations as to what is good as far as sound and reliabilty goes, i need a good delay, i have a dd3 which is awesome but i also need to more analog tones something with more aptomasphere as well as looping, i know jonny buckland uses stuff similar to that for looping but i just wanted to know ur guys experiences with diff. stuff. i was looking at the line 6 delay, the only problem i have with that its loop is short, around 15sec. i beleive, but mainly i just want to loop leads. im sure u guys know plent more than i do and id greatly appreciate any thoughts or opinions anyone would have, thanks guys!

I have a DD5 (state of the art when I bought it three years ago  ) but I've always wanted a Line 6 delay modeler. Probably the most diverse delay unit I've ever encountered.

  • 3 weeks later...

ah, i have a Line 6 delay pedal, about 3 weeks ago, i played with it for 4 hours, just me and my brother recording and making up music :)

they're also good used a longside a Digitech Whammy pedal

the delay pedal has a button your can hit, which just truens the chord/note/tone/<whatever you're doing> into an echoing delayish reverb...it sounds amazing
